UF Health Pediatric Dialysis Center provides in-center dialysis treatments for pediatric patients. Dialysis is a treatment that cleanses blood by removing chemical wastes and excess fluid. It is needed when the kidneys are no longer able to perform this function. Our pediatric nephrology team offers special expertise in the care of infants, children and adolescents with renal failure and complex renal abnormalities who require dialysis and transplantation. The Pediatric Dialysis Program at the University of Florida consists of an expert team of physicians, nurses, nutritionists, social workers and child life specialists who assist children with chronic renal failure.
