Neurodiagnostics are essential to effectively treat any disorder of the nervous system and provide quality health care. These tests may be ordered as part of a complete neurological assessment and consultation, and they must be interpreted by a neurologist. The UF Health Neurodiagnostic Center provides comprehensive tests including: Electroencephalography (EEG) is a test used to measure the electrical activity of the brain. A brief (less than one hour) study is typically performed to evaluate seizures and syncope (passing out), along with other changes in awareness that may be related to another neurological condition such as dementia.
