  I am a patient there but will be changing very soon. They are not interested in anything except maintenance medicine. I broke my arm two months ago at 8 pm and as a sign in their office directs, I called the office before seeking urgent care or hospital care. I did receive a phone call from a doctor in Bradenton, who said "if you think you need to, go to urgent care or the hospital, go. I will let the office know you called.." Next morning, I call the office and was told "We got a message you called last night, when the nurse practitioner isn't busy she will return your call." I waited and in the early afternoon went to urgent care who confirmed my arm was broken, Gave a referral to an orthopedist and a cast. I didn't receive a call from Northport Doctors until late afternoon. I was never seen there. Two months later they call me to ask if we can have a conference call with my insurance company because I am registered with another of their offices. I received two phone calls about this within 24 hours. I am in no hurry and would not recommend them for any reason. Find a doctor who cares may be next to impossible but this office is not the place to start.

  Very rude on the phone. I call to ask if they accept a certain insurance? the lady said that she do not know and to call back later. How do you work somewhere and not know or at least have a way to look that up. I have try calling back later but know they keep send to to voice mall. if there not willing to be nice on the phone they're probably worse in person. if you can go somewhere else DO.

  Love Dr Heflin. He’s my mother’s doctor and takes great care of her!!!

  I have had 5 encounters with this organization and 3 times I am very sorry to say I was disappointed. I do not wish to elaborate on the specifics, but I cannot return.

  I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Heflin and his staff. My mother was a patient of Dr. Heflin's both in North Port and then Englewood. His knowledge and caring concern for his patients is amazing. In my opinion, he goes above and beyond for his patients or at least he did in my mother's case. Thank you Dr. Heflin and staff from the family of Anne S.
