We were on vacation. Stopped in to get two pairs of glasses fixed. Kate was wonderful and got us all fixed. Went above and beyond to help both families get glasses fixed.

There’s got to be HIGHER LEVEL of ACCOUNTABILITY for the terrible experience that I went through like a CEO or Owner of Friendly Eyes to view all Cameras in the Destin, FL area for 5/30/26 Bet. 9a-1p & 5/25/26 = day 1 (bet. 1p-5p) where their eye exam machine crashed too many times failing to recognize my right eye (tech called front desk lady in to witness it) & it gave me bad prescription diameter result for the left eye sample contact lens was to big & I was told by tech. to discard it. Plus on Tues 5/26/26 I ran into problems staring 3 monitor work computer w/blurry vision w/right eye lens that was given to me by them & I lost trust in the staff once I had to wear my original lens for both eyes & when the tech. said that the doctor will call me on Tues. morning, but this doctor never called me from Tues. - Fri. every time I called in she was too busy (poor services). So I winded up w/both of my original lenses and reported my concerns since day 1 through Wed. and got so disappointed on Thurs. I called in to request a refund. When I asked staff member for a refund due to feeling deceived, she had Kelly call me back & I did share my concerns & requested refund but she went on about the doctor’s sample order arrival & scheduled me in for 5/30/26 at 11am. (5/30/26 when I got there I saw that same Front Desk lady who witnessed the machine crashing) & I told her I wanted a refund due to not trusting their faulty eye exam machine that crashed & services (since their doctor never called me back) and she looked angry but said I can’t give you a refund & asked for my name and # since the mgr. will be in during the afternoon, (trust was a major issue here so I told her I’d rather wait & did so w/o complaining or saying anything at all. The front desk staff saw Kate walk in and they both went to an office and sadly Kate had major behavioral issues where she went from a 1 to a 10 just b/c I asked for a refund & I was waiting there quietly for my request to be processed. She approached me saying you came for your samples (as though I am being bullied and forced to take wrong sample order) & I said I don’t trust their machine results and want a refund and this is where she got amped and told front desk then you must give her her refund then the front desk lady said I can't but the mgr. "might be coming in later on" (changed her response to might and then Kate immediately told me to "get out of the office" even though I was waiting patiently & caused no trouble and then I shared w/her that I'm not here for any trouble then she lost her mind and said "DONT GET ME TWISTED" as though she were drunk or on drugs in front of the customers and I which was not called for violence & bullying. So I followed her instruction & left Friendly Eyes area & asked Kelly (Mgr. in Lenscrafters area) how can I file a grievance for the treatment I received from Kate telling me to get out of the office & she handed me Donna’s card & said "nobody here would tell you to get out" and as soon as she said that, Kelly's conduct escalated as she stormed forward towards my area into hostile mode where she lacked the ability to see with friendly eyes that I was no threat to anybody, but yet she spoke harshly in front of that mgr and customers telling me to "get out now." I didn't realize that I had no right to ask to file a grievance but clearly Kate took that right away from me by bullying me for no good reason coming from her back office which I left Friendly Eyes area into LensCrafters area she was obviously looking for trouble (& is a HIGH LIABILITY to the entire company, staff, customers, and stakeholders b/c she's not safe to be around anybody and should be written up for misconduct and lacking wisdom as to how to treat valuable customers like myself).
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
