  First time in a long time for an eye care exam. I read reviews from multiple companies and decided to give Pearle Vision a try based on the previous reviews. I was not disappointed. The staff on the Gulf to Bay location was very professional and thorough. It started with a friendly and helpful Amanda who helps with the glasses and fitting and continued to Michelle who was the technician doing my initial exam. The exam continued with Dr. Theodore who was also very thorough and knowledgeable and explained all my options for glasses or contacts and which would be right for me. The manager of the store, Sarah, was also helpful with the different lenses options for my glasses.

  I went here just browsing for the perfect pair. One of the staff members offered to change the nose pads of my current glasses, which was very kind!

  Honestly, I had a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience at this store. I asked for “just the basic”- no extra coating or protection on glasses (to save money) for my son’s glasses and the employee referred to it as “bottom of the barrel” glasses.. and then tried to bait and switch the price from $195 to $250 saying “by law” he needed bicarbonate glasses. When I said no to the extra price they then said they could indeed skip the bicarbonate glasses they just would “warn me” they’re cheap. I walked next door to eyeglass world and they gave my son TWO pair of glasses for $125 with a FREE bicarbonate upgrade because he was under 13. Also Im able to get the glasses same day where pearlevision also takes about a week to get the glasses back. NEVER going to this store again.
