I contacted LensCrafters at Aventura Mall by phone to request the status of my eyeglasses because more than a week had passed without a clear update. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was rude and did not provide the level of professional customer service I expected. I filled out a complaint online and got a call immediately from other representative with the same style. Even when I picked up my eyeglasses, I did not receive excellent service. It seems their policy may not include calling customers with order updates. In my experience, other optical stores have called me when my lenses were ready. I paid approximately $540, so this was not an inexpensive purchase. In addition, the receipt does not clearly show whether I received the Medicare plan discount I was entitled to, even though I requested it from the salesperson. Delays can happen, but customers should be treated respectfully and given clear information about their orders. I hope management reviews this situation and improves communication with customers. Based on my experience, I do not plan to return to this store.

LensCrafters excels at making eyewear shopping feel convenient and user-friendly. The staff I interacted with were attentive, patient, and genuinely willing to explain options clearly, whether you’re choosing frames, lenses, or coatings. The in-store eyewear facility is well-equipped, offering on-site frame adjustments, lens edging, and quick fittings that help you get coverage fast without multiple trips. The range of eyewear is broad, spanning budget-friendly frames to more premium options, with modern lens technology available (anti-reflective coatings, UV protection, photochromic options, and lightweight materials). Overall, if you value helpful service and a robust, hands-on eyewear facility under one roof, LensCrafters is a solid choice.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
