  The steam room has been down for months. The fees remain steady though I’m not getting the main service that motivated my subscription. Seemingly, the steam room repairs are not a priority. Oh, but the Penthouse is. Go Figure…..it’s a money generator.

  The front desk staff can be very rude at times. There is one older lady in particular who seems overly critical about everything and is always finding a problem. She often makes members feel unwelcome, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. For a place where people come to work out, relieve stress, and relax, the experience can be very underwhelming because of the customer service. Overall, the gym has its perks and offers some positives, but I would highly recommend addressing the communication and customer service issues among the staff. Everything else may be a plus, but one major issue like this can make a big difference when deciding whether to continue attending a gym regularly

  Extremely frustrating experience. I relied on the schedules published by both VIDA Fitness and ClassPass, only to discover that the class times and durations did not match. For example, the Run Club was listed at different times and even showed different durations depending on which platform I checked. I fought 30 minutes of DC traffic to get to VIDA at The Yards, expecting to attend a class based on the information provided online. When I arrived, I learned the schedule was different and I was not even allowed to purchase a drop-in class (for Pilates or run club). As a result, I wasted my commute, my time, and ended up with zero workout at this location. If you advertise classes across multiple platforms, the schedules need to be accurate and synchronized. At a minimum, staff should be empowered to offer a reasonable solution when a customer arrives based on conflicting information published by the business. Terrible first experience. I would not recommend VIDA at The Yards based on how this situation was handled.

  The entrance to Vida was not clearly defined, so I contacted the front desk to clarify the correct entrance. However, the front desk staff addressed me in a rude manner and abruptly ended the call. Upon entering, they proceeded to mock me for inquiring about the entrance. Is this the standard of customer service training for front desk staff? I expect them to be polite and courteous.
