When we moved to Cap Hill 4 years ago, this was a much nicer store and we really liked having a grocery store close by. Over the years, the store has gone way downhill. The shelves are never fully stocked, the store is always filthy and the staff are incredibly rude. It seems as if everyone in the store hates their job and despises customers. The pharmacy staff do the absolute bare minimum at their job and are always rude. A few years ago, they added all these security measures like having to scan receipts to get out of the celf check out and gates to enter the store that never seem to work properly. The security guards at the door are usually friendly, but it's always a bit startling to have an armed guard at the door of a grocery store. We choose to drive 20 minutes away for our groceries rather than use the store that's in our neighborhood because it has gotten so bad. Really sad to see what was a nice shopping experience go so downhill.

Regardless of time of day, I have to wait in line about 10 mins. Going on 18 mins right now.

Although the closing of the Safeway pharmacy on Maryland Ave was a bit of a disappointment, I am so grateful that the Pharmacist, Ash, had been transferred to this location. He is always willing to help and takes the time to get to know us in the community. It’s a joy having a pharmacist who exudes happiness and joy to those who are picking up their prescriptions and just really excels at amazing customer service, while being so knowledgeable! Thank you, Ash, for being great at what you do!

The customer service at this pharmacy is THE WORST. I was already paying for a prescription and asked if they could ring me up for two other pharmacy items (mouth wash and allergy medicine) and the attendant said no. It was literally sitting in front of her, she just wouldn’t do it. This is why people are starting to have prescriptions delivered… Does this place even want to be in business!?
