Right from the very start, this gym just had a wonderful feeling about it. The layout is beautiful. It's big, two floors. The swimming pool is just beautiful. The manager, Brittany Wike, is always so helpful. She's personable, knowledgeable, and available. The only thing I would change is that the locks be taken off the lockers at the end of the day. There are fewer and fewer available lockers each day because people seem to make them their own permanent locker. Other than that, I can't think of anything I would change. It's really a beautiful facility and very well run.

I cannot discourage this gym enough.
In addition to the congregation of high school and college kids that run wild, this gym allows children aged 11-14 to be present without an adult. Staff is inattentive and apathetic to the safety concerns of guests.
Children wear jeans, pajamas and crocs despite rules requiring proper attire.
Gym floor is treated as everyone’s personal locker with bags sprawled out everywhere.
Constant plumbing issues deem certain services and facilities useless half the time.
This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Went at 4pm, it was very packed, make sure to bring tons of water, and get towels because it is very hot in there. Overall solid machines and hardworking individuals.

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and frustration with the current environment and standard of service at your Tenleytown Onelife Fitness location. As a member, I expect a welcoming, professional, and respectful environment, but my recent experiences have fallen drastically short of this standard.
I am raising three primary concerns that require your immediate attention:
1. Discriminatory and Homophobic Staff Behavior Most alarmingly, I have experienced and witnessed homophobic behavior from your staff. It is completely unacceptable for paying members to feel targeted or uncomfortable due to discriminatory attitudes from the very people employed to assist them. This behavior is highly unprofessional and creates a hostile environment that should not be tolerated at Onelife Fitness.
2. Unprofessional Customer Service Beyond the discriminatory incidents, the general customer service I have received has been severely lacking. Staff members frequently appear disengaged and unhelpful. Instead of fostering a supportive fitness community, the current customer service approach makes members feel like an inconvenience.
3. Unenforced Gym Etiquette and Unruly Behavior The gym floor is frequently overrun by high school students who treat the facility like a high school locker room rather than a shared fitness space. There is a blatant lack of respect for adult members and a complete disregard for the equipment (e.g., groups hogging machines without working out). The staff makes no effort to enforce gym rules, etiquette, or age-appropriate supervision, making it incredibly difficult for other members to complete their workouts safely and efficiently.
I am bringing these issues to your attention because I believe in the potential of this facility, but the current atmosphere is unacceptable. I expect a safe, inclusive, and well-managed gym.
I request that management investigate the staff conduct immediately—particularly regarding the homophobic behavior—and implement stricter enforcement of gym etiquette for younger members.
