  I am a patient of Dr. Ahmad and it has been the best thing to have come to the K St clinic for my appointment today. From the front desk receptionist to the medical assistant, Kern; they have been professional, caring, understanding, patient, and nice. Dr. Ahmad has been one of the best physicians I have seen in many years. Thank you so much Foot & Ankle for having such a professional team on K St.

  Dr. Ahmad made me feel instantly at ease. He is obviously a very seasoned expert and his kindness and wisdom made me feel hopeful for my no-arch-induced foot pain. So as far as actual care goes, absolutely 5 stars. However the practice itself is frustrating - they won’t see you if you don’t have physical ID/insurance card with you. And they don’t take AMEX, which is extremely unusual. Almost everyone else just passes those fees onto the consumer. There is a surcharge for using a card (3% surcharge). And then they require you to pay for your custom orthotics ($200) before you even receive them or insurance comes into play. I’ve never encountered these 3 things at any other specialist or doctor’s office before.

  Small waiting room - Very nice staff... Lisa, Kern & Dr Ahmed were all professional, knowledgeable, helpful - Very close 2 Metro - Office is clean - THANKFULLY, appointments aren't overbooked so no long waits!

  My doctor was good medically, but he charged me $559 for a walking boot that I later found on Amazon for $50 -- which made me feel taken advantage of. So go here, but don't get your walking boot through these guys.
