  When we first visited the Fairfield County House (FCH) in search of place to support our Uncle Joe's needs we immediately knew we had come to the right place. The team met with us to thoroughly understand our Uncle and his current condition. They provided us expert advice and guidance that proved both timely and accurate. Our Uncle's transition was carefully planned and executed. We were encouraged to transform his room to look and feel as if he were still at home. We brought his favorite blanket and pillow, pictures of family and friends, artwork he enjoyed was hung for him to see and most importantly his record player with a selection of his classical albums to play. The care and treatment Uncle Joe received was excellent. The team seamlessly collaborated on his care with Joe's Primary Care Physician and Hospice Nurse. The team was quickly able to instill the confidence we needed that Joe would be well cared for at this delicate stage in his life. Most importantly for us, the team made us feel welcome at any hour to come sit and enjoy time with our Uncle whether we only had ten minutes or hours to spend. The ease of access and the welcoming feel of the Fairfield County House quickly spread through Joe's family and friends. Many came to visit Joe throughout his stay there.
