I’m writing on behalf of My husband Dominick Oppedisano who posted a review yesterday with his experience with the 50 percent promotion at the SONO mall south norwalk CT location. Google is not allowing him to post a follow-up review on his experience. I’m writing to follow up after my recent experience with LensCrafters, which unfortunately continues to be frustrating. After submitting a Google review, I appreciated the prompt response from corporate and the outreach indicating the store manager would contact me. When I spoke with the manager, she acknowledged that I had been misinformed and agreed to honor the 50% discount on the Prada glasses. I was relieved and thought the situation was being resolved. However, during that same call, after placing me on hold to process the order, I was quoted a total that was nearly $200 more than what I originally paid for the first pair. This was the first time it was explained that the 50% discount applies to full retail pricing, which was never disclosed at the time of my initial purchase or during my follow-up visit. Once again, I was told “that’s how it works,” but at no point was I given that information upfront. This is now the second instance of being misinformed, and it reflects a consistent lack of clear and transparent communication. At this point, it’s difficult to have confidence in the information being provided. As a result of this experience, my wife has canceled her upcoming appointment and we will be taking our business elsewhere. I would appreciate a clear and honest explanation of your promotional terms moving forward, but more importantly, I hope this feedback is taken seriously so other customers are not put in a similar position.

I had a really frustrating experience with LensCrafters. I purchased a pair of Prada eyeglasses and was clearly told at the time of purchase that they were running a promotion, come back within 30 days and get a second pair for 50% off. I specifically asked if I could get the exact same glasses again at that discount and was told yes. Fast forward a few weeks later, I go back expecting them to honor what I was told, and suddenly I’m told “Prada is excluded.” That was never mentioned during the original conversation. It feels like a classic bait-and-switch. If certain brands are excluded, that needs to be clearly communicated upfront , not after the sale when the customer comes back expecting the deal that was promised. Very disappointing experience and poor communication. I expected better transparency and professionalism.

Very disappointed. Ordered new temples for my wingback sq frames. Was told I had to order 2 pairs for $66/pair; so I paid $132. Only 1 pair arrived and was told that was my full order. The screws they used to attach the new temples are too large(see pic). They stated the original Oakley screws disintegrate when removed from frame. The reps at store seemed not to have any ideas on how to solve issues properly, and instead blamed me for pointing out issues( Missing parts, screws too large). So LensCrafters, you need better quality on all fronts.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
