  One year ago life changed drastically for our family. My father had severe dementia and Mom had broken her hip. Mom was Dad's caregiver and although I moved into their home to care for Dad, I had a full time job and needed to work. We had to quickly find another caregiver. The first agency did not work out, it was a disaster. We then reached out to Home Instead and they saved me from losing my mind, really! They were able to not only care for my Dad as his needs increased, our caregiver Cathy, was also my support. I could not have gotten through this difficult time without her. She cared for and loved my parents as though they were family. Cathy never complained as she fed Dad, and changed his diapers and bedding. Bobbi and her staff checked in regularly and I felt so supported. They all really cared. Cathy was there when my Dad passed in december, he was loved until the end.   Home Instead was the second care-giving organization that we worked with. For most of a year we worked with another, much less pleasing organization. When they didn't work out, the VA, who was sponsoring my husband as a veteran, switched us to Home Instead. They have a stunningly good reputation, both as caregivers and as employers. I have been most pleased with the people they have sent to help us out. They are all honest, reliable, smart and very caring people. I have nothing bad to say about any of them. They keep a running diary of what happens, so I always know what occurred when I've been out and return, which is quite reassuring. The caregivers will always chip in and help me with light housekeeping chores as I am old and not as spry as I used to be. When necessary, they can be quite flexible to accommodate scheduling issues and unexpected things that might disrupt any other group. Their office staff calls to let me know the schedules and to check that we are happy with their service. We have become good friends with our main caregiver, Elaine, who is a most interesting person and especially dedicated to her clients. Frankly, they're all wonderful to work with. I couldn't be happier with Home Instead. (A special "Thank you!" to Bobbi.)

  We were looking for care for our 92 yr old dad. After trying to work full time and provide his care, it had gotten to the point where we faced the realization that we needed more help with his care than we could mentally and/or physically provide. Long care heath facilities were not an option as we wanted to provide dad the option of staying in his home. But, having 'strangers' coming into his home to provide care was overwhelming. I reached out to Bobbi at Home Instead...which turned out to be the best decision ever. Bobbi took the time to come out and explain care options to us and helped us to be ok in having others share dad's care. She helped us realize that taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of dad....and asking for help was nothing to be ashamed of. Bobbi was a most helpful resource in this next stage of care for dad. We are certainly grateful and encourage anyone to reach out to explore options in caring for an elderly family member.

  Home Instead was fantastic taking care of my aunt after she fell. They were dependable, caring and knowledgeable. All of the caregivers treated her like family. My aunt felt safe and enjoyed their company. The caregivers were supportive of her physical therapy sessions which helped her get better faster. I highly recommend Home Instead.

  We needed to have morning day care for my 101 year old mother-in-law. After researching and settling in on "Home Instead" we could have not been more happy. From the office staff to the caregivers, the service, kindness, and compassion for this beautiful lady has been outstanding. Thank you "Home Instead"
