  I failed at progressive eyeglasses twice from Zenni and then I went to Sonya at Eye Trade and she knows what she is doing! She spends the time to not only find the right glasses/frame frames for your face, she understands how to fit you and the mechanics of the different lenses. When I went to go pick up my glasses, I was still skeptical then I put them on, and I walked outside and I walked downstairs, and I read things on the wall, and I looked at her and hugged her because this was life-changing. I could see everything, but that wasn’t the point I could see it and didn’t have to move my head around because my vision is now seamless. I have now had them for a few days and I have tried them out under every circumstance and these are amazing. I even went bike riding with them today and walk through the woods with old progressive that would’ve never happened. These are definitely an investment and cost more than if you go to Zenni. But they are worth every penny! If I could give her 10 stars, I would!

  My eleven year old’s glasses broke and we had to switch lenses. We called our glasses shop which said they would have it done in 15-30 in and after 4 hours, they didn’t fix it! He had to have a day of school squinting but after, we went to Sonya’s EyeTrade and switched them out in front of our faces and did it in under 2 minutes for free and even provided us cleaning supplies for our glasses for free! Sonya is super kind and thoughtful and we will be coming back for our glasses needs again!

  One of the best and most unique Eyewear stores in CT. Great for both men's and women's frames! Sonya the owner is amazing and will give you honest responses about how styles fit your face. She has told me that she also does house calls for those who are unable to travel for any reason. I own 2 pairs from her shop both name brands (I spoiled myself) but she also offers lower cost options. I bought a pair of Betsy Johnson's and my sunglasses are frames from Bvlgari with custom lenses. She was able to get brown lenses with a purple film over the top to get the look I wanted with the frames!

  I can’t say enough good things about eyeTrade Optical Shop. Sonya is absolutely incredible. She has an amazing eye for style and somehow just gets it when it comes to matching frames to your face shape and personality. You’re not just picking glasses off a shelf, she’s guiding you toward something that actually looks great on you and feels right. The selection is outstanding, with a wide variety of designer frames that you won’t find everywhere else. You can tell everything is carefully curated, not just stocked. What really sets this place apart is the experience. Sonya takes her time, gives honest feedback, and makes the whole process easy and enjoyable. The level of customer care is consistently strong and feels genuinely personal. I also love that you can book private appointments, which makes it much more relaxed. I’ve been back multiple times and wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you want glasses that actually look great on you, this is the place.
