  Awesome! Everyone was super friendly and professional. Doctor, Optometrist-Tech, and Salesman were all knowledgeable and willing to give professional advice, as well as help me apply a discount on overall glasses price because I initially had trouble redeeming it from my Humana Insurance website. Would Recommend!

  Avoid Dr. Douglas at this LensCrafters. They refused to give me my insurance-covered eye exam unless I paid an extra $39 out-of-pocket for their digital imaging machine. When I requested traditional dilation drops instead (which my insurance covers at a $0 copay), the staff literally told me the 'doctor doesn't do standard dilation because it takes too much time for him' and turned me away. Unethical billing tactics designed to force cash upgrades on patients.

  Joe at this Thornton location is THE BEST. He even "looks the part." Imagine, if you will, an older, wiser craftsman at creating your eyewear. If you could direct a movie about a store that hand-crafted fine eyeglasses for wealthy people, who would you cast in the role of the be-spectacled crafter? It would be Joe at this store. I am a patient of the Ophthalmologist at this location, but Joe is the craftsman. Joe doesn't list his last name on his card. Probably because his origin story is from Europe or the Middle East? Of course it is! He's the ancient craftsman! Almost Biblical! Anyway, Joe's the best! He's the one you want to talk to. In Thornton, Colorado! Hard to believe, but it's true.

  I want to start by saying the front desk and support staff were fantastic. They were welcoming, efficient, and clearly good at their jobs. My issue is entirely with the optometrist. Before I'd even met the doctor, I could hear him through the open exam room door responding to the fact that I could only describe my contacts as "daily toric" instead of naming the exact brand. I don't wear contacts every day, and mine aren't one of the major brands, so the name just isn't something I have memorized. His response was that this was "like saying my tires are round." Once he came into the room, he mispronounced my name. I corrected him, and he didn't say it again for the rest of the visit, no acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. He then spent several minutes lecturing me about not knowing the brand off the top of my head, as if that were a failure on my part rather than a normal thing for a patient to not have memorized. During the actual exam, he repeatedly told me "girls are smart," including after I answered basic yes or no questions about my health history. It wasn't a compliment, it came across as condescending and out of place in a medical exam. The exam itself was fine on a technical level, but the way I was treated made the whole visit unpleasant. I'd recommend this location for the staff, but I would not see this doctor again.
