Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

The pharmacy is terrible. They literally are horrendous. The lady is rude and YELLED AT ME. I could barely understand her because of her accent but she most definitely raised her voice at me. Told me I don’t know what I’m talking about because she’s the pharmacist. Told me FAKE state laws. This woman is a huge liability to the pharmacy. She was the pharmacist in duty today. Weill be most definitely moving me prescriptions. No thank you.

Terrible customer service from the new manager Meagan. Rude and unapproachable. No concern or care for her customers or even if someone wishes to remain a customer. Avoid this place there are to many other options to deal with what we dealt with.

My Mother has terminal esophageal cancer along with several other unfortunate conditions. We have been using this Pharmacy for the past 6 years. Since my Mom lives across the street from King Soopers, its close & convenient for her to pick up her monthly medications. We usually have a wonderful experience with the tellers until today. Today while picking up my Mothers pain medication, I encountered a newly hired manager named Megan. This experience was absolutely heartbreaking for us. Not only was this manager extremely unfriendly, she was also unhelpful & just plain mean. After coldly approaching us, making inappropriate comments about my Mothers health & refusing to show any empathy towards her circumstances, it was very clear that this manager was already annoyed before even approaching us. The eye rolls, loud gum smacking & sassy attitude was unexpected & unappreciated. I was appalled that she was the manager & behaving so poorly. I did try to get her full name or manager/license identification number but she refused & instead told me to use google. If you can avoid this pharmacy, please do. It was a very, very unpleasant experience. I’m just glad my poor Mom wasn’t able to come into the pharmacy.. I think she would have broken down in tears. Patients are sick, tired & in a lot of pain. They should not have to deal with people who blatantly dislike their job & are unable to handle situations in a professional manner. Kindness really goes along way, especially when dealing with sick patients.Do better please, Megan.
