Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Travis made us feel like WE were putting HIM out when my husband came to pick up my prescription and it was not filled tonight as promised. The medication I was in need of was one of the most commonly prescribed thyroid medications and I have never in 10 years of being on it had a pharmacy not have some back up floaters if they did not have the entire prescription on hand. A pharmacist should be the one who knows that missed thyroid medication is crucial and for the safety of the patient, should offer floaters in a situation like this. My husband told him I needed floaters, he said he had none. I called and he then told me "if you can send a pill bottle in with your husband I'll give you some extras I have on hand" but was really put out by it. By the time my husband went back in he was flustered with Travis's lack of compassion for a patient and had to get stern with him to be sure I had enough until they ordered the entire script. I called Wal Mart to have the scripts transfered and they instructed me to call Travis and let him know they were sending the transfer and to be sure he got it so I could get my medication. He was defensive and even laughed at one point.
Travis, Look I know the job is stressful. I've been on medications monthly for more than 20 years and can have a great deal of compassion for how intense your job is when it's crazy busy. But the second the pharmacist or a tech takes that out on the patients we will return your lack of patience in kind and go to another pharmacy.
Do not ever settle for anything less than a pharmacy that will help you out HAPPILY when they have failed to fill your prescription as promised.
UPDATE- City Market transfered ALL of my other scripts over to Wal Mart EXCEPT for the thyroid med I needed. My health is not a game!
