Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Review about Pharmacists and their techs: I called ahead at 2pm stating I needed to pick up the medication sent in stat. It was pain medication from my dentist because my tooth is cracked open and partially missing. I am in so much pain, and when I showed up, there was a huge line - which is fine - all I cared about was getting home before my kids at 3pm. I came up to the desk and asked to get my rx quickly and that I had to leave to be home (5 min away) by 3pm. They said it would take 20 minutes, this was at 2:30pm. I explained that I called ahead and I was very calm but the elderly tech with while hair was very rude to me and said “well I’m not the one who you spoke to,” and I have no idea how pharmacies work - I didn’t realize it wouldn’t be like a note in my chart that it was a stat rx. Then she came back and said the pharmacist is working on it now, and I politely asked what that meant in terms of a time frame just so I could make sure I could swing it for my kids and the elderly woman got even more upset and said some snarky remark restating that the pharmacist was working on it now, saying it slow and very sarcastic. I asked again saying, “I get that, I’m sorry if I said something wrong but you are being to aggressive with me. I am asking how long it will take approximately just so I can know for my kids.” I couldn’t even get my complete thought out when she said “I have to put in this form first, it will be like 5 minutes, and she pointed to chairs that are in a secluded area and told me to sit there. It’s now 2:43 and no one has gotten me, the pharmacy line continues to be long. This pharmacy will fill medications - no matter what - the pharmacist isn’t picky and trusts the doctors (I’ve been at a pharmacy that was very picky called Parag0n and they would not approve controlled substances without specific codes making it very hard to get medications and didn’t fill a higher rx than fda approved even if doctor and insurance approved of it) but at this pharmacy the pharmacist will fill whatever is sent in so that’s a plus. Navigating the website is a pain, wish I could just click the link add my birthday and then see the rx and track it.But they did check me out just barely in time to get home.

Regular customer here- The new hire at the pharmacy has changed the wonderful, warm, and welcoming atmosphere this store had for me. I’ve been up since 2am at the emergency room, and took the extra minute to call ahead to see if there was anything I could bring to make the pharmacy process smoother (common courtesy). This is very much a smile and wave/good morning kind of store, or was, until this morning. The lady at the counter greeted me with such a sour look, it isn’t typical so I was taken aback. I thought it might be a one off expression, but the entire interaction with her ended up like that. She whispers when she talks, and when I began answering the question I thought I heard her ask-she then cut me off and yelled her question at me. The gentleman behind me said he couldn’t hear her either when it was his turn, and that is NOT the way to speak to people in general and especially at work. Please do not let this place lose its shine, if I could award this staff for its helpfulness and its wonderful environment I would-but that pharmacy woman has been the ONLY staff member to make the store feel unwelcoming.

The woman with the eyes tattooed on her neck lacks people skills. She refused my request. Which happens all the time in stores. Different policies etc. I’m just not used to it being done rudely and without any explanation as to why.
