Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

My husband and I moved to Highlands Ranch in Sept, 2023. On average we fill 4 prescriptions monthly. We’ve never had a problem. All the staff have been consistently professional & friendly. An example is Molly. Given how busy this pharmacy is, it is very possible that what customers deem as rudeness is more likely a quick response from the staff to questions rather than a patient and lengthy explanation. REVIEW UPDATED As of today, Sept 20, ‘24 I am updating my review. This pharmacy is a mess. The only thing that hasn’t gone wrong is we continue to get our correct medications. The problem lies with the owner, who is Kroger, not the pharmacy staff. I’m amazed anyone continues to work in the pharmacy more than 2 wks. Forget trying to speak on the phone to anyone. You’ll get put on hold never to be spoken to again. 45 minutes on hold is considered a quick pick up time. Checking the status is a joke. More than once it tells me my prescription is ready for pickup, but it isn’t. Each time the person”helping” me looks up the prescription & I’m told the pharmacy is waiting for insurance authorization. And, on, and on, and on. How anyone can bear working there beats me. I was told today by the pharmacist that no one in the pharmacy has control related to problem solving Dissatisfied customers must contact the Kroger Corporation to make a complaint. Good luck with that. What I can, and will do, is take my business elsewhere. For Pete’s sake the pharmacy is only a business, it needs me a hell of a lot more than I need them.

The staff at this pharmacy have been consistently rude any time I have filled a prescription. I have had rude comments made about my prescriptions. I have been cut off mid sentence while explaining why I am calling. I have been blatantly ignored by all staff while waiting to get my prescription. Truely, remarkably terrible service. For a team of people there to help others it is clear they have no interest in doing so.

I deal with doctors, medical assistants and healthcare professionals on a weekly basis due to having rheumatoid arthritis, two different forms of lupus, Raynaud’s disease, Sjogren’s, scoliosis and a rare neurological disorder that makes basic day-to-day activities sometimes difficult. There is an employee at this pharmacy location named Shelby who enjoys playing a bully to the battered and who holds an uncanny skill of making customers feel even worse than before, when they’re already unwell. She is in a state of perpetual exasperation when asked to refill a bottle of pills and has treated me and my husband the same way—both on the phone and in person. The friendlier team members who work at the same location are unfortunately overshadowed by the unprofessional and unwelcoming nature of this particular individual. When a person is sick, sleep deprived, in pain, or anxious for possible upcoming scans and tests, kindness from a pharmacy team member can make all the difference in the world. Anyone who’s been sick in their life can tell you it’s a lonely experience, and that feeling of being ostracized is even more pronounced when dealing with workers like Shelby who make one feel not only like an inconvenience but a blurred number among many. No one chooses a life of disease or disability. And what if someone grappling with a new diagnosis calls in and happens to be struggling with suicidal thoughts? Where is the grace and compassion for hurting humans in need of help? I would strongly recommend members of the ranch community in need of a safe dependable pharmacy to look elsewhere and save themselves the grief or any hurt feelings. Kindness is free but priceless. And so powerful.

This pharmacy is THE worst. Never have medication ready after 36 hours. And when you arrive it is not ready OR most times they don't have the medication. Save your time and go somewhere else. They are worthless and zero customer service

Staff does not care how long the line is, the pretend that they don’t see you standing there while only one person works the counter the rest pretend to be busy. Horrible customer service. I am moving back to Walgreens.
