The doctor here is wonderful. The LensCrafters is not. Specifically my issue is that the manager was dismissive about a serious issue with my new glasses. She was patronizing and didn’t offer a solution, instead convinced me to take home glasses that don’t work and “try them for a few hours each day”

Many price point options for frames and lenses. Great selection. Their method used to fit glasses uses multiple measurements. They don't use a marker line to determine location on progressive or bi-focals! Excited to get my new progressive glasses. I was able to take advantage of their 40% off deal! First time using them. Thus far very impressed - they are extremely knowledgeable.

I was told at LensCrafters that just getting new lenses was going to cost me over $400. Fortunately they cancelled my order , because I went to a boutique glasses provider in Ft Collins and they are only charging $200 for the same lenses.

wish I could give zero star: one of the worst customer experiences I've had in a long time. I've been a loyal customer of this chain for years and typically purchase at least three pairs of glasses every year. During my last visit, I was charged for a protection plan without anyone asking for my consent. The same employee—an older lady—added the charge without mentioning it. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only issue. She was extremely rude and spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if I couldn't understand simple things. Her attitude made the entire experience very unpleasant. Despite that, I returned because I needed new lenses for 10 pairs of glasses, representing a purchase of well over $2,000. I simply asked if the invoice could be written slightly differently for insurance purposes. It wasn't anything dishonest or unreasonable, yet she refused without offering any alternative or trying to help. At that point, I stood up and left, and they lost the entire sale. To be honest, I almost didn't go back because I saw she was working that day, but I gave the store another chance. I regretted it immediately. As a customer, you expect a pleasant experience—or at the very least, a neutral and respectful one—not an interaction that leaves you frustrated for the rest of the afternoon. I don't know whether she is the manager. If she is, that may explain why the store struggles. If she isn't, the company can certainly find much better sales associates. Her customer service was simply unacceptable.

My prescription hadn't changed during the last few years. I saw Dr. Lorena de la Garza, for a new set of contacts about six months after my last eye exam. I'm so glad she insisted on an eye test. She then tweeted the contacts three times. I haven't seen this well in years! I wish I could give her service six stars.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
