Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Lately there have been long waiting lines when picking up prescriptions even when 5 people were working in the Pharmacy. on one particular day one of the gals was typing in the office and she stuck her head out of the office to ask the Pharmacist (not Karen) if she should stop typing and wait on the line of people waiting to pick up their prescriptions. The pharmacist said "no, keep typing". We all heard her! Paying a caregiver just to be able to leave my house as others do I'm sure, that was beyond rude to all of us waiting in line. Yesterday I went to pick up a prescription and there were 5 people waiting in line. I had to leave.

No idea why these guys don't have more stars. I think people just get PO'd and write one-star reviews and maybe people who have a good experience just don't. Whatever the case, these folks are consistently really wonderful. I just called, it's 30 minutes before closing, and I'm having an asthma attack and I've run out of albuterol. They filled it and had it ready in 15 minutes. **chef kiss** Seriously a great team.

Roan at the pharmacy was very helpful, knowledgeable, patient and kind when I came in with a complex question about refills, pre-approvals, and co-pays. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

Wow I’m so not shocked by the one star reviews. I will not go into the full details as this pharmacy has already wasted enough of our time and energy. Why would you not have a number system? Why are you are you so rude and judge mental? One person out of three we dealt with was pleasant and all I was trying to do was get an RX for a toddler with an ear infection, and I could have driven to Farmington and back for all the trouble.

Got both my covid shots here and the second one really stood out. Mike did the vaccination for me and he took a few minutes to go over what to expect after the shot and how to manage any possible side effects, which was really considerate and eased my nerves a lot. He had me take a deep breath and look the other way, and I didn't even realize he'd already administered it. The shot was absolutely painless. I felt him pinch my shoulder and that was it. Sincerely wish Mike was able to give me every shot I'll ever need forever. I wish there were more stars. It's rare to meet a healthcare professional that is happy to answer questions, respectful and considerate (especially with nervous patients) or can give a pain-free shot. Mike does all three.
