Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I am having trouble with one of my prescriptions. I have been waiting for my prescription to be filled for about a week. My insurance said that this location has filed a claim that a 90 day prescription was filled and picked up but I have never got my medication. Now I’m not able to have my prescription filled until November. Theresa has not been helpful and got frustrated with me and took it personally when I told her what my insurance said. I am not able to get my medication now because they are still claiming that they never got my prescription and didn’t file a claim. I don’t know how all of this works but this pharmacy and their staff did not make this process any easier.

The Saturday pharmacy team was super polite and helpful and went above and beyond to give me additional medical help that I didn’t even ask for. This was a relief because when I called Friday afternoon to clarify a prescription price, the person who answered was immediately irritated that I called, and super rude when I didn’t understand what she was asking me for. Im not a pharmacist nor do I work in insurance so I didn’t know the lingo. I gave her info, and was in the middle of asking a question when she hung up on me. Super unprofessional and off-putting. I hope she was just having an off-day doesn’t treat other patients like this, since there are other reviews mentioning how great she is.

Where is the music? Felt uncanny. Big store, pharmacy wasn’t busy when I went in the evening. Provided what I needed, would appreciate a little more atmosphere.

The pharmacy techs that work here are beyond rude. Drive thru apparently closed 15 minutes before actual closing time at 5 pm on a Sunday. Jasmine who answered my call on the speaker is probably the worst I have encountered at this location. If you can’t handle a job in customer service, choose another career. King Soopers needs to start correcting the behavior of their employees.
