This man is so awesome! He took his precious time to help me and give me a referral and after making 40 calls all morning, the referrals he gave me were the only ones that took my insurance! So grateful to this man, When I change my health insurance I am coming to see him. Thank you, Dr. Marokus. I look forward to working with you soon! ✨

I had my second appointment with Dr. Asa Marokus recently since my regular psychiatrist has retired. I am very impressed with Dr. Marokus and his office. He spends quality time assessing my needs and going over my diagnosis. He explains things thoroughly to me in a calm, patient manner. He works with me to make decisions on my treatment and takes into consideration how I feel about our options. I feel I have a voice in my treatment and my concerns are treated with utmost respect. I love the ease of scheduling appointments and his prompt return of messages, emails or phone calls. I feel confident knowing if I have an emergency, I will be able to get a hold of him. I do recommend that you fully read over his office policies first before making your appointment. You will pay for your visit upfront and submit it to your insurance on your own. So far, I haven't had any issues with my insurance and FSA accepting my requests even though he is out of network for me. He keeps his hourly rates and policies on his website and he also emails his policies to you prior to your first appointment. The insurance thing made me a bit hesitant at first but after my first appointment, I felt it was worth paying my bill up front and submitting it on my own. The only other con is that parking can sometimes be difficult to find as its an upcoming area with high growth. Just expect to get to your appointment about 5-10 minutes early so you can find a spot to park. His building does have a small parking lot but its often full or reserved for other offices. Both times I have been there, I found a spot on the street and did not have to walk far at all.

The good? I filled out the online form and he got back to me fairly quickly and asked that I send an email, which I'd already done. He responded to that email about 8 hours later and let me know he would be out of the office the following week and offered some appointment times. I was so relieved to have something on the horizon due to anxiety issues I'd been having. I responded immediately with my preferred appointment times and have heard nothing since... Very disappointing. You'd think someone at the office could have gotten back to me to let me know I was scheduled. Or at least followed up? I've really been struggling getting responses from psychiatrists here in Denver. Dr. Marokus was the 3rd and it's been over two weeks since I've been having serious issues. I finally did find a psychiatrist who responded immediately and got me on her calendar. Thank goodness!!

I called this dr. and he returned my call -- one time (over one week ago). since i missed his return call, i have since left him 3 voice mails and 2 emails. despite these attempts, no word from the doctor (after almost 2 weeks of my trying to connect with him). i told him we needed a psychiatrist for my teenage son. things at home are growing increasingly intense. obviously, it is a critical time for us. i would think that a psychiatrist, of all professionals, would be more prompt in following up with a potential new patient. he wasn't -- at all. i concluded that he doesn't need the business. he seems more pre-occupied with tweeting and social media. i think i'll look for someone who actually is more interested in spending time with his/her patients -- versus being on the computer tweeting or blogging.
