Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I don’t know his name but the older gentleman with the white beard is literally a saint and an angel. Super helpful with my questions and my prescription. Actually listened to what i was saying as opposed to the doctors that are prescribing me the stuff

Can not overstate how impressed I was with Lucy this morning. I had to confirm prescription refills, called the and the automated phone system couldn't see them, hit the 0 to talk to a person and got Lucy. I began with my name and DOB in the first 5 seconds and by the time I mentioned the situation, she had them up and confirmed. We're talking less than 20 seconds. Wow!

I originally had a prescription sent to a non-KingSoopers pharmacy. I got to the pharmacy and I was told my script wouldn't be ready for a few hours, no big deal, only to then be told they didn't have it in stock when I went back. They then told me they couldn't check the availability of my meds at neighboring locations and it would be up to me to call or wait two days for them to order it in. I called this King Soopers Pharmacy and luckily they had what I needed. With only an hour left until closing, the staff here helped me transfer/fill my script as fast as they could. Unfortunately the meds I needed weren't covered by my insurance but the Pharmacy Tech Abraham helped me get the best price using Goodrx. I do not deal with pharmacy's often and what started off as a terrible experience turned into pleasant one because of this staff. Thank you!

I love this pharmacy. This location is the best of the best in Castle Rock. Have had awful experiences at other pharmacies in the area. The staff here actually care about you and your needs. Including annual flu vaccines etc., staff is patient, kind and go out of their way to help with anything you need. I tell them every time I see them how much I appreciate them.
