Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Had all I needed. Helpful staff, well stocked. Love the easy pickup program. Kind of run down outside though. Could use a little paint &flowers or shine 😊

A floater pharmacist was there today. I have gone there for 2 years and never had an issue. Yet this new person was very rude and told me she was uncomfortable with giving me prescription that MY daughter has been prescribed for years. Then compared her to her 9 year old. She has no business being a pharmacist and being very rude to say the least.

The absolute worst pharmacy ever. They are completely disorganized and never have prescriptions ready on time. NEVER! Sometimes they completely lose them, requiring multiple calls. The staff is generally rude (probably from constantly being on the defensive for screwing up orders)

Our family has used the City Market Pharmacy in Cañon City for decades. We have already moved the majority of our prescriptions to Palace, however we kept our controlled substances at City Market because Palace isn't open as many hours on the weekend, which is when most of our prescriptions are filled.
Unfortunately, we continue to deal with rude and unhappy technicians who clearly want to be anywhere but at work helping customers. It is hit or miss whether you will receive help with a smile or be met with a feeling of pure disgust. I don't know what has changed as even the 'good' techs have days where they make you feel worthless. I understand they deal with a plethora of people, including unhappy ones, but that gives them no right to take their problems out on customers who are simply asking questions or calling to check on a script.
At this rate, we plan to move our remaining medications to Walgreens. At the very least, they can fake being happy long enough to not make us feel like crap. I don’t know what has happened, but the service is only getting worse. I do not recommend going there if you want to be treated with kindness. It’s sad to see.
