He took the time to educate me about how my eyes work and how they’re doing, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt rushed, and I truly felt cared for. I left feeling informed, reassured, and grateful for the time and attention he gave me. I highly recommend Dr. Ekin to anyone looking for an eye doctor who genuinely cares about his patients.
- FFFreeRangeLemonSep 22, 20261.0I had an eye exam here with Dr. Ekin. On that side of things, I had a fantastic experience and he was very helpful and kind. However, once I went to the sales side of the store to pick out frames immediately afterwards, I had a horrible experience. Laura was the associate I ended up with. What should’ve taken 10 minutes took about 40. She tried for at least 5 straight minutes to sell me on two pairs of glasses despite me clearly stating multiple times that I only wanted one pair. I mentioned both of my vision insurance packages (which Dr. Ekin told me to tell them) and I spent another 10 minutes waiting alone while she checked what they were… She made multiple strange and rude comments, one of which was regarding the price of the glasses. She stated, and I quote, “Let’s run it through the other package because I get the feeling that this first quote will be painful for you.” And then spent more time..not doing that. And no, it wasn’t and wouldn’t have been painful for me or my wallet. Overall I was really hoping that my first-ever experience getting prescription glasses was going to be enjoyable and exciting. The exam was, but I spent the rest of the time gritting my teeth and tapping my foot because working with Laura was horrible and negative, filled with mindless small talk, strange / rude comments, and the general feeling that my prescription would somehow be messed up by her because she didn’t know what she was doing and seemed spaced out. Very unfortunate.
