Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

    1. I spend way too much time on the phone every month making sure the pharmacy reads the notes my doctor sends (otherwise my fills are incorrect) and making sure theyre filled in a timely manner (otherwise it takes sometimes multiple days for meds i NEED). 2. Half the time their drive thru is "down", especially if its within an hour or two of them closing, but I'm disabled and sometimes have a difficult time walking. Making this more than just a mild inconvenience for me. And finally, I hadn't planned on leaving a review but today especially was the final straw for me. I called because I had an rx sent in with a note from my doctor to fill my script with a specific brand. I called ahead to make sure this was doable and if not if they could check and see if a king's in the area had the brand I need (they work much better than other brands iykyk). The gentleman i spoke with said "Yes, we have enough and we are filling your rx WITH THAT SPECIFIC BRAND AS WE SPEAK RIGHT NOW." My partner had to pick them up for me, got home... wrong brand. Not only that but its a brand I can't take because I have extremely negative side effects. Will be calling tomorrow but I have a feeling nothing will be done to fix this issue- will update if that changes. I will say the techs and pharmacists are generally good natured and kind but that doesn't do much if they can't do their jobs properly. (I know they're likely understaffed and shame on KS for not hiring properly but again, this doesn't help me with my issues at present.)

Poor customer experience every time. They deny insurance, even if insurance approves. When they put you on "hold" they hang up on you. Always rude and abrupt. I suppose they are busy, but if they keep this up, that should become less of a problem. There are other pharmacies.
