  I came to see Dr. Jerald for 2 main issues: sciatica with shocking pains to my left foot & a pretty recent wrist injury. - I’ve been having the sciatica problem for over a year with the shocks becoming more prominent. My primary care wasn’t addressing the issue and focused more on masking the problem with medication.. (and telling me to quit my hobbies) It was at a point where the shocks happened almost all the time…walking, sitting, driving and even sleeping. - The wrist injury was new, probably from repetitive use both during jiu jitsu and work since I can’t pinpoint an exact event that caused the injury. It was progressively getting worse to the point where I couldn’t open a door, stir my cooking or connect a syringe without pain. When I was having trouble doing daily tasks and having to call out of work, I knew I needed to try something different. That was when I decided to get a consultation at OPTMZ. Dr. Jerald listened carefully to my concerns and offered treatment plans catered specifically to my problems. I only started getting treatment exactly a month ago and already in this short time I have seen so much progress. After just the second session, the shocking pains on my left foot have stopped! I haven’t had them in a month! As for my wrist, in a month’s time, the pain has decreased significantly, my arm mobility and weight bearing is continually increasing. I am so thankful I decided to try something new and excited to continue on this healing journey.

  I started seeing Dr. Chavez in May 2025 for severe sciatic pain that left me completely debilitated and barely able to move for many weeks. From day one, he created a personalized treatment plan and gave me various exercise protocols to follow at home. I saw him once or twice a week, and over time—especially heading into the fall—I finally began to feel consistent relief. As of today, I am fully healed and continue to see him weekly for maintenance. I’m beyond grateful for his expertise, patience, and commitment to helping me get my mobility back. Thank you, Dr. Chavez, beyond grateful!

  I enjoy visiting the clinic because of the exceptional care provided by Doc. Jerald and the staff. Their professionalism and knowledge are outstanding, and they always maintain a friendly demeanor. Thanks to their expertise, I have experienced significant improvements in my back pain. I highly recommend their services, especially for individuals dealing with back or neck issues. As a nurse at a hospital, maintaining good health is crucial to my work. I have been struggling with a back problem since 2019, despite undergoing surgery in 2020, which unfortunately didn't alleviate the issue and led to a bad foot drop. However, thanks to Doc. Jerald's help, I have made substantial progress and have been able to return to work in a regular capacity. I am truly grateful for his help.

  First and only chiropractor I’ve ever visited. Highly recommend. Have been having back/neck pain from working in the dental field for years. Dr.Jerald is very thorough and explains everything very detailed. Answers any questions and concerns. Dr.Jeralds takes his time to send you texts with exercises you can do at home. Appointments are always super easy to make. My posture and pain has definitely improved since visiting Dr.Jerald for back/neck alignments.. Highly recommend and will definitely let people know about Dr.Jerald and his practice. Thank you very much Dr.Jerald.

  I have been a patient of chiropractic care for over 14 years and by far have received the best experience and results from beginning to end at Optmz State. I have battled with chronic anxiety, lower back and sciatica issues for many, many years. The symptoms I had made day to day life difficult to navigate and fully enjoy on a daily basis. The shooting sciatic pain I had, radiated from the left side of my lower back all the way down to my foot. I could not bend over and pick up things from the floor, walk without my back cramping up or able to workout at the gym the way I used to. With only a few weeks of treatments and adjustments, the sharp pains began to disappear. I still continue my treatments and exercises that Dr. Jerald taught me, to make sure the sciatica pain never comes back again and I can continue to live the active lifestyle I love! Since I was young, I had chronic anxiety which kept stress levels at a constant high and my nervous system in “fight or flight” mode 24/7! Which was no way to live! Eventually, the unmanageable stress and anxiety led to weight gain, and a decline in ability to concentrate as well as overall mood and happiness. Receiving consistent care from Dr. Jerald helped my nervous system reach back to its optimal health so that it was able to function properly. I noticed that my anxiety began to reduce each day, where things that may have triggered me, no longer became an issue. I started to see things from a different perspective. Daily activities were no longer daunting and stressful. I enjoyed life again! Thank you Ms. Kelly for your warm smile and hospitality every time we walk into the office! Dr. Jerald, we are so grateful for your amazing, detailed and personalized care, for giving me and my family hope, the opportunity to live life without “suffering” in symptoms!
