This was not a good experience; I will not return. Four years ago, I had a positive visit for prescription glasses at this store. Recently, I ordered Ray-Bans online, and they looked terrible. I initially planned to mail them back, but opted to return in-store—despite my dislike for doing so—to see what looks good on. The Ray-Ban site provided limited info, but I understood I could return to LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut, both of which are not officially certified stores. This already made me uneasy because it wasn't the standard procedure to show my receipt. I entered with only the Ray-Ban box and my wallet, in the middle of a thunderstorm. Immediately upon entry, I was met with unfriendly service from a younger employee, possibly new. I explained my purpose, and she simply said returns could only be processed if the item was in their system, which was confusing. Another employee with sleeve tattoos approached to help, and I clarified what that meant. My anxiety increased, worrying I might have missed a step online. The second employee was incredibly rude, condescending, and accusatory—implying that if I bought online, my purchase should be in their system, as if I were attempting a scam. Her attitude was bizarre and unprofessional. Having worked in retail and served tables, I understand the importance of respect and professionalism. As a teacher stepping out for some self-care, I expected a pleasant experience, but I felt dismissed and undervalued instead. The only employee who handled me professionally and respectfully was the African American woman sitting down (whose name I did not catch). Politeness costs nothing. I

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
