From the very first phone call, I was impressed. I called Homewatch CareGivers of Long Beach and Torrance not really knowing what kind of care my family member needed or how any of it worked.
Crystal walked me through it — what level of care actually made sense, and a schedule built around when he genuinely needed support. That schedule made all the difference for him, and it finally gave our family some rest.
Then they went further. They helped us discover that my employer offers a back-up care benefit I had no idea existed, which covered part of the cost. She also recognized that my family member likely had a long-term care insurance policy from his years as a longshoreman — a plan we didn't know he had. Between the two, care became affordable in a way we never expected.
Leowin kept the scheduling running so smoothly we never had to think about it, and the caregivers were the best part. Tiana, Maria, and Ola were each excellent, and each brought something different and special. They were clearly well hired and well trained. Care was delivered exactly as it was supposed to be — never a breakdown in communication, never a lapse in service, never a scheduling problem.
In-home care or back up care in Long Beach or Torrance, or trying to figure out how to pay for senior care using long-term care insurance or employer benefits, call this them! They know what they're doing and they genuinely care.
I'm a nursing student, and because of that, friends, family and neighbors often come to me when someone they love needs care. I help when I can. But when my neighbor — a veteran — started needing more and more support, I knew he needed more than I could give him on my own.
I started researching home care agencies and found Homewatch CareGivers of Long Beach and Torrance. They did two things I'll always be grateful for. First, they walked us through getting his in-home care covered through his VA benefits, which made quality care actually possible for him. Second, they gave me relief I badly needed.
What impressed me most was the caregivers themselves. With my nursing training, I know what safe, skilled care looks like — and I watched their caregivers assist him with his activities of daily living with real competence and genuine warmth. They were well trained. They treated him with dignity. I felt completely comfortable handing over care I had been providing myself.
If you're looking for senior home care in Long Beach or Torrance, or you're a veteran family trying to understand your VA benefits for in-home care, I would recommend Homewatch CareGivers without hesitation. Thank you to this whole team.

As an RN, I have high standards for anyone caring for my father — and Homewatch CareGivers of Long Beach and Torrance has exceeded them.
Their caregivers are non-medical, but the professionalism is clinical-grade: safe transfers, attention to hydration and skin, and the judgment to flag a change in his baseline early. Tania and her team treat my dad with a dignity you can't train into someone. The office also guided us through his VA benefits and long-term care insurance, which took a real weight off our family.
If you're looking for in-home senior care in Long Beach, Torrance, or anywhere in the South Bay, this is the agency I recommend as a nurse and as a daughter.

When my father needed home care, I was completely overwhelmed. He's a veteran, and I kept hearing there were benefits he'd earned that could help pay for his home care — through the VA and through his long-term care insurance — but I had no idea where to even start. The paperwork alone felt like a second job.
Homewatch CareGivers of Long Beach and Torrance changed all of that. They sat down with us in my dad's home and walked our whole family through exactly what to do, step by step. They explained how to access his VA home care benefits, and they were just as knowledgeable about the long-term care insurance side — my dad's policy is through CalPERS, and they knew exactly how it worked. They helped us understand what his LTCI benefits actually covered, walked us through filing the claim, and supported us with the paperwork so it never became a burden. When questions came up, they had answers. Between the two benefits, most of my dad's home care ended up being covered — the benefits he'd worked his whole life to earn — and he could feel proud using them.
But the biggest thing they gave us was peace of mind. From the way they hire, train, and lead their caregivers, we trusted this team completely. The home care my dad receives is respectful, reliable, and genuinely compassionate. My siblings and I can go to work every day knowing he's looked after with the same attention and love we'd give him ourselves.
I can't recommend them enough — especially to any veteran's family trying to figure out how to get the home care their parent deserves.

I am so thankful for the helpful information Tania at Homewatch Caregivers in Long Beach provided regarding care options for my aging mother. Following her fall we were quite concerned about her wellbeing. The advice shared has been incredibly useful especially now that we have tailored it to her specific care and living situation. Homewatch support during this period has significantly lessened the stress and I am so very grateful for all the support and information that was provided. They are such a good resource and I would highly recommend them.
