  This location is so nice and helpful! I always come here when I need my eyes checked and when I need new contacts. I even brought in a pair of sunglasses that needed repairing and they fixed them for me same day! So nice!

  This location absolutely outshines the other LensCrafters location in Sherman Oaks. After visiting the other location where I was quickly rushed out of the store, Daryoush at this location went above and beyond to repair my glasses. I highly recommend this location and ask for Daryoush.

  I brought my Ray-Bans and a brand-new pair of polarized replacement lenses to this LensCrafters for professional installation. The lenses had been in my possession for no more than about five minutes before I handed them over. Gina, who I later learned is the store manager, accepted the glasses and personally installed the lenses. I left them overnight and was instructed not to pick them up before 3:00 p.m. Friday. When I picked them up that evening, the lenses were covered in fingerprints and smudges and apparently had not even been cleaned. Because it was dark, I did not see the more serious problem until the following day in full sunlight: one of the brand-new lenses had two separate chips along its edge, while the other appeared properly installed. I first called the store, then returned in person with my receipt. Several employees examined the glasses, were empathetic and willing to help, and my concern about the installation did not initially appear controversial. Unfortunately, the matter ultimately went to Gina, meaning the manager handling my complaint was also the person who had performed the installation. Gina maintained that the lenses were already damaged when she received them or that the damage was a manufacturing defect for which I should seek replacement. I disagree. During the few minutes the lenses were in my possession, they were never dropped, subjected to pressure, or exposed to anything that could reasonably have damaged them. Gina also acknowledged that she had not cleaned the frames before installing them. In my opinion, Gina damaged the lens during installation. When I later viewed the polarized lenses against an LCD screen, the affected lens showed numerous visible stress points where the frame pressed against it, including at both chips. The properly installed lens did not show the same pattern. Gina also repeatedly focused on my having picked the glasses up later in the evening. I found that misplaced. I had left them overnight, followed the instructions I was given, and was specifically told not to return before 3:00 p.m. Friday. I sometimes work until 6:00 p.m., and the store was still open when I came in. In fairness, Gina proposed that I obtain another set of lenses, either at my expense or by seeking replacement from the manufacturer or seller, which she would then install in front of me. My problem with that solution was that it rested on her position that the original lenses were defective or already damaged, shifting responsibility away from her installation. These polarized lenses cost approximately $120 and are sold as a pair. I do not expect perfection. Mistakes happen. My problem was the lack of accountability when something apparently went wrong. I am giving two stars rather than one because the other employees I dealt with were empathetic, took my concerns seriously, and genuinely seemed willing to help. Unfortunately, they did not appear to have the authority to resolve the situation once it reached the manager. But if I was just left with her, this would be one star.
