  I came to Dr. Vera Trofimenko with long-standing urinary problems, including frequent nighttime urination, discomfort, and concerns about an enlarged prostate. I had been putting off seeing a doctor for a long time, but during my very first visit, she identified the problem and prescribed the appropriate treatment. Within the first week, I noticed significant improvement, and after completing the course of treatment, all of my symptoms completely disappeared. My sleep returned to normal, the urinary issues were resolved, and I felt great again. I am very pleased with the outcome and grateful to Dr. Vera Trofimenko for her professionalism and effective care. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent urologist in Orange County. The most important thing I learned from this experience is: don’t wait and don’t try to live with the symptoms. If you notice a problem, see a doctor right away. The sooner you get treatment, the easier and faster it is to solve the issue.

  I was recently admitted, very suddenly, to an Orange County hospital for management of a kidney stone lodged in a ureter, and had the good fortune to receive my care from Dr. Vera Trofimenko, with whom I had had no previous doctor/ patient relationship. I cannot say enough about her professionalism, alacrity and reassurance at a time when I was in considerable pain—while across the country from my home and on vacation. Dr. Trofimenko calmly explained my surgical and non-surgical options in great detail, and together we agreed upon a surgical plan after considerable discussion. She performed the urologic surgery as planned, setting in motion an ultimately favorable outcome for me. Throughout this process, extending through my recovery across the country, she diligently followed up with me even she was herself on vacation. While I am, in my professional life, well versed in medicine, I could not possibly have successfully navigated my sudden health problem without both her guidance and her operative skills. Dr. Trofimenko is a great credit to her profession.

  If you are looking for a great urologist who truly listens and is well respected in her field, go see Dr. Vera Trofimenko (I call her Dr. Vera). I felt a little uncomfortable at first, discussing my symptoms, but Dr. Vera made me feel completely at ease. She listened carefully to my explanation and patiently answered all my questions, explained the diagnosis clearly, and never made me feel rushed. The entire office staff is also very welcoming and professional.

  Dr. Trofimenko is super nice, she is very patient in listening to all you have to say, and is very informative with next steps, options, and continued treatments. I had a very positive experience with her and her staff. I highly recommend her.
