Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

This is a letter that I sent to customer relations in regard to an experience that I had with the manager ANDREW at the twin Oaks Ralph's. I have not received a response from Ralph's yet.
Dear Ralphs Customer Relations,
I’m writing to report an incident that occurred at your San Marcos location (306 S. Twin Oaks Valley Road) on October 25, 2025, at approximately 12:39 PM.
While checking out my groceries, the cashier named Andrew was talking to the bagger and did not greet or acknowledge me. My coupons fell during the transaction, and he did not assist or pay attention. When processing my coupons, one did not scan, and I mentioned that it usually requires an override. I asked for a manager, and he said he was the manager.
Andrew became dismissive and made an inappropriate comment:
“Well, I’m surprised that you need to use these coupons.”
I found this statement unprofessional and disrespectful. I responded that it was none of his business whether I used coupons by choice or need. I left the store after informing him that I would be reporting the incident.
I was disappointed by this experience and hope that management will address this behavior to ensure better service for future customers. Please confirm receipt of this message and advise if any follow-up action will be taken.
Thank you for your time and attention.

The pharmacy staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. Sometimes they do get overwhelmed with calls and there’s a bit of a wait to talk with someone, but that’s true for anywhere I think. They have been great with delivering prescriptions at no charge during the COVID-19 pandemic, from the very start in early March they offered this. There has been some revision so they can’t deliver certain medications any longer, but that’s a regulatory restriction I believe. I transitioned here after using Kroger in Cincinnati for a long time. It was quite seamless and all of the records are in the same system. Hats off to the team at Ralphs!

Am extremely disappointed with Ralphs pharmacy in San Marcos. I called in 3 rx’s on Thursday. Was told that someone would call me Friday for payment method and rx’s would be delivered Friday. It is now 4th of July, they are closed and I have been without an essential rx for my asthma over 24 hours. This is not acceptable. I have been customer for over 20 years.
