I now have a contact lens prescription that may or may not actually work — and after nearly two months of this ordeal, I still can’t be sure. The exam itself seemed fine. I was fitted for contacts and given one trial pair to leave with — but they were 30-day lenses, not the dailies I wear because extended-wear contacts dry out my eyes. They didn’t have dailies in stock, so I waited. Ten days later I picked up two daily trial pairs and scheduled a two-week follow-up. Both were blurry with the wrong prescription. The doctor ordered another pair. I waited two more weeks, received them, and made another follow-up appointment. A week before that appointment, I called to explain that the latest pair was the worst yet and asked if I could simply retry the very first pair — just one daily trial — since that had been the least bad of the bunch (though honestly, it had been so long I couldn’t even be sure of that anymore). I spoke with Craig, who said the doctor wouldn’t be in until the day before my appointment and I’d need to wait to hear whether to even keep it, since none of her prescriptions had worked and I’d have no contacts in to examine. The very next day I got a voicemail saying my prescription had been finalized and was ready to pick up. When I called to ask why — I hadn’t retried the first pair, nothing had been resolved — I was told that two months had passed and I’d need to start over with a brand-new exam. At my expense. $190. To be clear: I didn’t create this timeline. I didn’t choose the prescriptions. The doctor cycled through multiple wrong fits, and they refused to give me a single daily trial of the first pair to confirm whether it worked. Instead, they offered to order a month’s supply for $130 so I could “try one pair.” That’s not a solution — that’s charging me to do their job. There’s one more thing worth noting: midway through this process, I called the office to report that none of the trial pairs were working and asked if they could pass that along to the doctor. The woman who answered said, “We don’t do that here — what good would it do? You need to come in.” In 25 years of wearing glasses and contacts, I have never encountered an office that refuses to relay basic patient feedback to the prescribing doctor. Truly baffling. I’ll be contacting both Target Optical corporate and their parent company, Luxottica. I paid for a professional fitting and received a piece of paper with numbers that may or may not be correct. After reading other reviews here, I see I’m not alone in this experience. I do not recommend getting your eyes examined at this location.

Received my annual exam and ordered new glasses with the new prescription. When I picked them up they didn't work, I couldn't see a thing. I took the glasses back and they put in a new pair of lenses. I could not see with the second lenses either, blurry, distorted, made me dizzy. Went back a third time and the doctor wanted me to pay for another exam. I don't think the first one was done properly to begin with. Ridiculous!!
