Crisis Stabilization Unit at Willow Rock

Willow Rock Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) provides short-term treatment for Alameda County youth, ages 12 to 17, who are experiencing psychiatric symptoms at a crisis level. The program provides a comfortable, calming space for youth to stabilize and feel safe when they are in a state of emotional distress. Nurses, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and therapists assess the youth emotionally and physically. The CSU is designed to prevent the need for hospitalization by providing rapid access to crisis services that will help the youth safely transition back into the community within 24 hours of admission. If a higher level of care is required, the individual is referred next door.
