I have bought 3 pair from them from the last 5 years and it will be my last. The after service is never been welcome after you got a glasses from them. Runaway from this location.

I went in for an eye exam. During check-in, I was asked if I wanted a dilation test that can make vision blurry for a few hours, but it was not performed and I was not given a clear explanation. After the exam, I ordered prescription lenses for my own sunglasses frame. The pricing explanation during checkout was not clear. I was told insurance was paying over $150, but it turned out to be a network discount and my actual insurance benefit was much smaller. When I picked up the glasses, the lenses were not fully clean, which made it hard to see clearly while trying them on and check the fit in store. The exam and glasses are ultimately fine, but the communication and overall experience were disappointing compared to another LensCrafters location I visited previously.

I’ve been a repeat customer here and have spent a good amount of money over time, which is why this experience was especially frustrating. I made the trip from pretty far out to get new glasses, only to be told they couldn’t find my insurance information. They suggested I contact my insurance myself, which felt odd since I use it regularly without issues. I did exactly that, and my insurance confirmed I was fully covered. When I called back, the woman I spoke with was surprisingly rude and implied that I didn’t actually have the coverage I said I did. After going back and forth, she finally offered to recheck the information and discovered they had entered my birthday incorrectly. Once that was fixed, my insurance went through immediately. The whole situation was unnecessary and dragged out what should’ve been a simple process. When I came back in to actually order my glasses, the atmosphere felt awkward and unwelcoming. Not the kind of experience you expect when you’re spending a lot of money. Then when my glasses finally came in, I returned to pick them up and they were completely bent out of shape straight out of the case. One arm was way higher than the other, like something heavy had been sitting on them. They were adjusted and fixed on the spot, but I’ve never received brand new glasses in that condition before. At this price point, that shouldn’t happen. Overall, this experience was disappointing enough that I won’t be returning, not just to this location but to the brand in general. I noticed another shop across the way, Jins I think, with a better selection at lower prices and honestly wish I had gone there first.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
