Don't have 45 minutes to look for parking and sit in the lobby to avoid being locked out? Don't bother. I understand, logically, that not having a grace period is a choice this studio has chosen to make. I also understand I am the master of my own time, and can make the decision to see I have "only" a half hour to drive less than a mile and find parking before attending class, and instead stay home. But not having even a short 3 minute grace period in an area with no secure bike parking, limited street parking, and inconsistent bus service is a choice that I would not make for user experience, and I think it is the wrong one. Hence the review. To be clear, I am not mad. I read the reviews that look much like mine and still chose to go. I frankly assumed the other reviewers were being dramatic about the time they arrived, saying they were "only 2 minutes late" when they were in fact 10 (or 20--I know humans). I applogize to them. I was so proud I made it when I was in eyesight of the studio at 2:59. But, I caught a light at Divis and chose my life over yoga. By the time I crossed the street and figured out where the entrance was at 3:01 the door was locked... even with class having not yet started. Which you can see, from the sidewalk. Perhaps a bullet dodged, as the class, frankly, looked packed enough I was shocked there were allegedly 13 spots still open. At 3:03 or 3:04 another class goer pulls up and I have to tell her that we are not getting let in after ringing the doorbell 3 times that no one could be bothered to answer. (Though I tried once more for good measure). Even a sign indicating class had begun would have been more polite than leaving us on the sidewalk--especially since this seems to be a recurring problem. I assume the "late cancel" and no show fees pay the rent. There are enough local yoga spots or more convenient Corepower locations that I do not feel the need contribute to a studio that underpays and understaffs its studios such that no one can answer the door 61 seconds after the posted class time. Skip this one unless you are unemployed and/or have a lot of free time to waste.

You know I actually had a good workout when I came in on Monday. Checked in, set up, spoke with the instructor, etc. The vibes were good and I was planning to go back. However, I find it ridiculous that this location still tried charging me as a “missed reservation” through ClassPass a whole 4 days later! How do you even mess that up when I explicitly checked in and was verbally told I was checked in? Seems suspicious if I’m being completely honest. Most studios will large a late or missed fee the day of or the day after, so the fact that they waited until this morning is really odd.

I just finished my first ever CorePower class (Yoga 2 with Emily), and I had such a great time! “Hot yoga” was a new concept for me, so I worried that starting with 2 and not 1 would be intense, but the flow felt quite comfortable as someone who hasn’t practiced yoga for a few months now (granted, I’ve kept myself pretty fit / flexible). There were plenty of optional mods to increase or decrease the difficulty of poses. Emily gently and skillfully guided us through the class, moving between both sides of the room to ensure that everyone could follow along. The overall pacing of the class felt just right— not too slow or too rushed. The studio itself is small but adequate in its accommodations. In my 4 pm class, I had about 1-1.5 feet of space between my mat and those next to me on all sides, and I wasn’t worried about bumping anyone on accident. The heat felt stifling at first, but I got used to it and actually found comfort in seeing everyone dripping with sweat…haha. I did, however, appreciate that Emily propped open the door about midway through the session for a bit of airflow. I left this class feeling so incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated, and I’m excited for the next one!

I do a class here every week. It never starts right at 2pm. I’m always early. Today I’m late 3 min and they locked the front door. Guess it’s my fault the bus didn’t show up on time. Thanks corepower! Never coming back here. This is just punitive. Don’t reply to my review, I know your late policy and I think it’s ridiculous in a city and bad for loyal customers who don’t own a car.

Really great instructors and staff (deserve 5 stars) but they overbook their classes for the studio space offered. I’ve gone a couple of times for the Sculpt classes, and on various days/times, and It is packed like sardines with 100% chance someone will sweat on you and vice versa.
