This would have been my second CorePower class. I arrived at 7:46 for a 7:45 class, and the door was locked. I could see through the window that people were still getting their equipment out and class hadn’t started yet, but I wasn’t let in. The instructor and other class members just stared at me like I was a zoo animal.
Yesterday, I took my first class at another location. I arrived early and was on my mat before class started. We had already gone through the warm-up when people were still being let in about five minutes late.
I understand there are rules and being on time is my responsibility, but seeing that yesterday and then being turned away today was frustrating. With people still setting up, I’d hoped there would be a little flexibility. Or at least some compassion.
Honestly, I’ve been going through a lot and was already having a rough morning. I was really looking forward to getting on the mat and having an hour to clear my head. Instead, I ended up outside in tears. This left a bad taste in my mouth, especially as a new customer, and makes me not want to come back.

I was locked of the class despite arriving ON TIME for the 4pm HPF on Sunday. I stood at the door ringing the doorbell from 3:59-4:05pm, no one answered. Apparently at Corepower you sometimes get denied access to classes you paid and showed up ON TIME for. I’m glad this happened before I was about to sign up for membership… Ended up going to Folk Yoga nearby.

I had a great session with Kinga! It was hard work but the payoff was great. She corrected my downdog pose, which I value immensely considering it's such an important part of practice.

I LOVE my teacher at NoPa Corepower!!! I’m obsessed with her sequence / flows, MUSIC!! And contagious positive energy. Always feel incredible leaving her class. Challenging and fun. Also I love her dance background bc her timing and form is perfect. Also also she sings at the end and it’s healing.
