  I’m writing to complain about a very frustrating vaccination experience. On my first visit for the vaccine, an older male staff member asked for my insurance card. I explained that I had just been there the day before and that my insurance information was already in their system. He insisted he could neither give me medication nor administer the vaccine without it, so I had to leave. On my second visit, I brought my insurance card. A different staff member told me they didn’t need it because my information was already in the system. However, they didn’t have the vaccine I needed in stock and said they could order it for me and asked me to come back the next day. I agreed. On my third visit, I arrived at 8:20 AM, but the staff told me it was too early and asked me to come back at 10:00. When I returned at 10:00, they told me they had never ordered the vaccine at all. I made four trips in total and still didn’t get vaccinated. If the vaccine had not been ordered, why didn’t anyone tell me when I arrived at 8:20? Is my time not valuable? This level of miscommunication and disregard for a customer’s time is extremely disappointing.

  This is the best pharmacy in town! The pharmacists are top notch and the cashiers outstanding. Thank you for you excellent service always!

  Had a package of smoked Guda cheese come as part of a delivery order. Apparently the packaging got perforated and the cheese molded. When I took it into the Vons store in Scripps Ranch Blvd, the store my wife selected for the delivery, the manager flat out refused to do anything and told me I needed to go to a different Vons. I was frustrated and left the store after leaving the cheese with the manger without taking a picture. We'll be canceling our deliveries and membership if they are going to be delivering damaged goods with no recourse.

  I am really surprised by the negative reviews. I used this pharmacy today for the first time and had excellent customer service. I'm with an HMO so I normally get all of my prescriptions through them but this was something outside of my network and a cash payment so I went to my local Vons. First of all, the pharmacy assistant (Riza) asked if I had a coupon which I did but totally forgot about. This was a very expensive Rx so I'm glad she asked in that it saved me almost $100. Then she even went the extra step to look online to see if she could find a better coupon for me. Who does that without being asked?! Since I wasn't familiar with this pharmacy and how to get refills, she then walked me through how to go about getting future refills (and even offered to set me up for automatic refills) as this is a medication that has to be ordered ahead of time. And then even told me how to order refills through the Vons app. If that isn't going the extra mile, I don't know what is. I then met with the pharmacist who very thoroughly explained the medication and ensured I had the proper documentation to submit through my flexible spending account. I had such a positive experience and I'm so glad I wasn't influenced by the online negative reviews and chose to fill my prescription here. It really is about the individual interactions you have with people that drive someone to write a review and I get that but I wanted to take the time to write a positive review. Perhaps this pharmacy had staff who weren't customer service oriented in the past but that was certainly not my experience today.
