This was my first time doing barre. My friend had the unlimited pass and bought me as her guest. I'm unfit for barre and the instructor, Amy, was super patient with me. She was always there to offer a helping hand. My friend loves this place and has been attending a few times a week for months now.

I've been taking Pure Barre for 10 years and have attended classes in more than five different states, and I can confidently say that the Hillcrest studio is one of my favorites. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and supportive. It's rare to find a studio where every instructor consistently delivers such a great experience. I really appreciate the variety of class formats offered, and Define is definitely my favorite. I know it's become popular across the country, and for good reason. Strength training has so many benefits for women, and it's been especially valuable for me in terms of functional fitness. As a mom of two young children, it's helped improve my overall strength and my ability to keep up with the daily demands of parenting. As a traveler, I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. The staff got me set up with everything I needed and gave me a quick tour of the studio. Before my first class, I called with questions about parking since I wasn't familiar with the area, and the team was extremely helpful in offering suggestions. Most Pure Barre studios in larger cities don't have dedicated parking lots, so that wasn't unusual to me. If parking ever causes you to run a little behind, the staff is happy to set up your equipment ahead of time so you can jump right into class. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in the area!

In some important ways, rather an unwelcoming place to work out. A couple of the instructors are great and friendly and helpful, the thing that really bums me out Is there absolute in flexibility on letting someone in a couple of minutes late. I just drove 25 minutes to get there, Drove around for parking For 10 minutes, paid for parking having to park three blocks away and literally sprint there (Road construction has increased traffic and decreased available parking, and I hadn't been to the area in a while to Real realize 10 minutes to park wouldn't be enough) Exactly 2 minutes late, and even just as they are starting class, would not make a concession to let me in. It doesn't feel good, to come to a business with no parking, while there are parking and traffic issues, with no grace period. The classes reserved in advance and they know that they are locking students out. Of the 15 other studios I work out at, There's no one who offers this little grace even with the same business model/no front desk staff. It would be pretty little effort to step away during the warm-up and walk a few feet to the front door to let in anyone stuck outside. Or to wait a couple of minutes when you know a student who reserved a space hasn't made it in. My other dislike about the studio, Is that although it's a barre studio, and their barre classes are a unique workout, They offer very few classic barre classes yet offer several "define" classes daily. It's strength training with dumbbells, and generally a workout I would be interested in, But the one define class I took there was the worst strength training class I've taken ever, and I would definitely never do that again. So for the class I would like to attend which is sometimes only offered once a day, It usually doesn't fit my schedule. After being locked out twice (Last time I was three minutes late while there were two events creating traffic and reduced parking in the area), I just can't see myself feeling welcome or at home here. The first time it happened I emailed them requesting they returned my class Credit since I wasn't allowed in, and nobody responded. Maybe it's great if you live in the area and walk there, or you don't mind the poor format and awkward (Injury risking) moves in the define classes, but I personally do not feel excited about coming back.

Terrible experience, never going there again. I called to ask about the studio and the manager answered me and kept on telling me all the 'great things' about her studio and booked me to a class. I asked whether I should do anything beforehand but she mentioned that I only need to arrive a few minutes before the 11:00AM class. Next day, I arrive at 10:45AM but I see the studio was closed, I called around 5 times but no answer, only after the class ended and suddenly that nice manager turned into a devil and kept on blaming me for 'not arriving on time' and that 'maybe Barre isn't for you', she was also extremely rude on the phone. Never again would want to deal with someone with this personality, hope you learn something from this and turn into a decent human being at some point

I'm submitting this on behalf of my girl friend. I had a great experience until I tried canceling my membership. When I attempted to cancel my membership, I was informed that I needed to cancel 30 days in advance to avoid getting billed for the next month. I was not told this when I signed up. When I asked for a refund for the month after I canceled my membership, they told me that they could only reimburse me if they charge me a $350 fee for canceling early. None of this was told to me when I signed up. Reccomend disclosing this as people sign the documents!!!!
