- MMMiles McCoy2 days ago5.0I came into Target Optical for my annual eye exam and contact lens exam, and I have to say, the entire experience was top-tier from start to finish! Last year, I went to a higher-end optical office in La Jolla and unfortunately had a terrible experience, so I wasn’t sure what to expect this time around. Target Optical completely exceeded my expectations. Dr. Riolan Marbun was fantastic! My exam was extremely thorough, and he really took his time with me. He made sure I understood everything, answered all of my questions, and genuinely cared about making sure I was comfortable and happy with my prescription. I never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. The ladies at the front were fantastic as well! They sat down with me and took the time to explain the different frames, lenses, and options available. I was on the fence about getting Transitions lenses, and they did an amazing job explaining how they work and helping me decide what would be best for me. I never felt pressured into purchasing anything. All in all, I left very happy and completely satisfied with my experience. I’m looking forward to getting my new prescription contacts and my new Ray-Ban glasses! Thank you to Dr. Marbun and the entire Target Optical team for such a great experience. I definitely won’t make the mistake of going anywhere else for my optical needs again! *** Update: 8/31/2026 *** I wanted to leave a follow-up review after my recent eye exam because my experience just keeps getting better! I received a call letting me know that my contact lens trials had arrived and that I could come pick them up anytime. When I got to the store, not only were my contact trials ready, but my new Ray-Ban Transitions frames and lenses were ready as well! My new glasses are absolutely flawless. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out, and my contacts have been great too. From the eye exam to the follow-up and pickup, the entire experience has been top-notch. Thank you again to the entire team for the amazing service and for taking such great care of me. I truly appreciate it and couldn’t recommend you guys enough!
