I had AirSculpt on my arms almost 2 years ago, and it has been one of my biggest regrets. I paid around $15,000, and despite being told a liter of fat was removed, my arms look virtually the same—if not worse.
Before surgery, I asked three separate times if I needed skin tightening. I was repeatedly told it would be a waste of money because my skin would “snap back” due to my age and skin quality. Months later, when I returned unhappy with my results, I was first told it was too soon to evaluate. Now I’m being told it may be too late because too much time has passed.
I also feel like my concerns have been dismissed. Instead of acknowledging my results, I was told they looked “wonderful” and even asked if I’d gained weight. I wish someone had been honest from the beginning and told me if I wasn’t a good candidate for the results I wanted instead of moving forward with the procedure.
I’m currently waiting on my before-and-after photos and a quote for an arm lift for my attorney. I’ve been waiting nearly 3 weeks, and communication has been very poor.
Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering AirSculpt to look beyond the Instagram marketing and make sure you fully understand what results are realistically achievable. This has been one of the biggest financial and cosmetic regrets I’ve ever made.

AVOID AIRSCULPT AT ALL COSTS. Worst experience of my life.
I paid $16k and was left botched with zero care from them. I now have to pay another Dr to fix the mistakes of this one. I want to warn others and share my experience with Dr Alwin and Airsculpt as a whole.
My actual procedure was done at the SL city location with Dr Alwin but all of my follow ups were done here in San Diego as he works at both locations. PLEASE go read my review there for the craziness that was my procedure day and for more in depth info of my botched results. Google would not post my reviews for both with all of the information in them as they were too similar.
-I tried doing my first follow up in San Diego. They changed my time last minute, then had me sit undressed in a robe just to tell me they were an hour behind-which was very similar to my procedure day except I waited for 6 hours..
-When I requested my 3 month photos, the office repeatedly forgot to send them and eventually claimed they were deleted. The doctor showed me them on an iPad at my 6 month follow up. Afterward, they went back to claiming the files didn't exist. Strange…
-The manager initially pretended to care and claimed she wanted to work something out for a revision (I’m sure they say that to everyone who is unhappy). And instead of hearing from her, a random employee emailed me an invoice for $5k with the doctor's “suggestions” to fix his own mistakes
-Prior to a procedure like this you should be speaking and consulting with the doctor, not sales people or “coordinators”
-A year ago, I was in the best shape of my life. Now, Im too self conscious to wear half my closet or a bikini because of this place. Do not trust these people with your body or your money. You’re just another number to them.

If I could give AirSculpt La Jolla more than 5 stars, I would.
From the moment I walked in, everyone was so kind, helpful, and welcoming that I almost forgot I was there for surgery and not checking into a spa with exceptional customer service and a very specific talent for body contouring.
First of all, this place is CLEAN clean. The kind of clean that makes you wonder if they sanitize the air molecules individually.
Huge shoutout to my nurses, Andrea and Korte, who took such great care of me and somehow managed to keep me calm, comfortable, and laughing throughout the experience. Dr. Mark was amazing and had me feeling like I was in the safest hands possible. And can we talk about the receptionist? Absolutely fabulous. Five stars for customer service and another five stars for the energy alone.
Then came the moment that truly confirmed I was exactly where I was supposed to be: Jagged Edge started playing during my procedure. My favorite group! Nothing says “you’re going to be just fine” quite like hearing your personal soundtrack while getting snatched.
As if that wasn’t enough, they even made sure I had snacks before and after surgery. Honestly, kindness and snacks are my love language.
Honorable mention to Dr. Alwin for being part of this wonderful team.
Thank you to everyone at AirSculpt La Jolla for making an experience that could have been stressful feel comfortable, fun, and surprisingly memorable. I came for the procedure and stayed for the playlist and hospitality.

I had a great experience with AirSculpt while I was considering the procedure. The team was attentive, responsive, and made me feel valued as a potential client. Unfortunately, my experience changed significantly after I paid for and completed the procedure.
One of my biggest disappointments was feeling misled about what to expect. The procedure was presented as being relatively simple, with a quick recovery that would allow me to return to my normal routine almost immediately. Based on those expectations, I decided to have multiple areas treated at the same time. However, the reality was very different. The procedure was much more painful than I anticipated, and my recovery was far longer and more difficult than I had been led to believe. I was under the impression that I would be back to my regular activities the next day, but it took a significant amount of time before I felt like myself again and could return to my normal routine.
The post-procedure care also felt impersonal and disappointing. Instead of receiving follow-up messages checking on my recovery and well-being, I continued receiving marketing texts encouraging me to purchase procedures I had already completed. It felt like the focus shifted from patient care to sales.
Another frustration was the lack of continuity in my care. My follow-up appointments were repeatedly changed, and I saw a different nurse almost every time. At my first post-procedure appointment, I didn't even see the doctor—only a nurse. After making such a significant financial and personal investment, I expected more consistent and personalized follow-up care.
Overall, I felt very supported while AirSculpt was trying to earn my business, but once the procedure was paid for, I felt more like a number and a source of revenue than a valued patient. The procedure itself may have been successful, but the experience left me disappointed. Patients deserve realistic expectations about recovery and the same level of attention and care after the procedure that they receive before signing the contract.
