    My husband and I went to Mr. Ling as a result of a recommendtion by a pharmacist. The exam was impressive and showed significant hearing loss for my husband. We ordered the top of the line hearing aids. My husband made strong efforts to follow Mr. Ling's instructions and never found the aids extremely helpful, so at every appointment he attempted to get help from Mr. Ling. As time went on, Mr. Ling's impatience with my husband and poor manner increased, and we began to notice a lack of interest in helping. At one of the appointments Mr. Ling called called my husband 'lazy'. This is unacceptable and highly unprofessional, and it so happens that my husband is a very hard-working and successful businessman. When my husband wanted to see Mr. Ling again for a paid visit, Mr. Ling told my husband that Pleasanton is too far for him to drive and instructed him to find someone closer to our home. My husband contiued to suffer from very annoying whisteling in the hearing aids, and even though my husband made the drive to Pleasanton a few times in order to get hekp with this issue, Mr. Ling blamed it on a problem with the 'fit' and never addressed the problem properly, so it never stopped.. We decided to try Costco for hearing aids, and what a difference! An excellent product and also excellent, patient service at about a third of the cost. We now understand that the MIracle Ear aids most likely were defective and needed to be replaced, something that Mr. Ling never offered us. I don't like to write negative reviews, but I feel that people should know about this unfortunate experience of ours with Mr. Ling. We initially went to him and contiuned to go to him willing to do 'whatever it takes' to provide my husband with better hearing. We ended up wasting a lot of time and also a lot of money. We also had to pay for a copy of the audiogram and for necessary filters and domes, something that Costco provides at no cost. I'm not sure that Mr. Ling deserves even one star.
