It has been over 9 weeks since my appointment, and I still do not have my final contact lens prescription. During this time, the store repeatedly failed to order the correct trial lenses for one eye or the other, causing unnecessary delays. I have visited the store four separate times and was repeatedly told that someone would call me back, but those calls never came. To make matters worse, my insurance was charged, yet no prescription has been issued. Phone calls often go unanswered, and getting a clear update has been nearly impossible. When I spoke with Alex, the store manager, I was told he was new and unable to provide much assistance. Alphonso, one of the associates, would not allow me to speak directly with anyone from the doctor’s office regarding my prescription status. For something as basic as a contact lens prescription—which is required for purchasing contacts and even requested by the DMV in certain situations—the lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. LensCrafters corporate should seriously look into how this location handles patient care, prescription fulfillment, and customer communication. Waiting more than two months for a simple contact lens prescription is unreasonable. It is also unreasonable to close your doctors office at 3.30pm when the store is operational until 6pm as well.
