On Saturday, April 25th, I walked in to the Oxnard store for the first time and was greeted by a very friendly face and warm welcoming handshake. However, this was not my first experience with this business. Back in 2021, I had made an appointment at the Santa Barbara store, because I was dealing with some significant foot pain and hoping this would be my answer. They sold me on a 3-step insole solution, and I was feeling relief for the first time in a long time, but I still needed some adjustments, so I went back in and this time, was told something completely different from the first time, but it was from a different sales associate. Well, I left that day feeling a little unsettled, not sure this solution was actually going to work for me. But I had to try it.
I worked my way through the process and got to the second step. Well, that's when everything went a bit crazy in my personal life and ....long story short, I misplaced my box with the 3 steps inside and just stayed comfy in step 2. Until recently, when a different kind of foot pain started showing up. When I learned there was now a store in Oxnard (I live in Ventura), I had a glimmer of hope that maybe they could help me.
So the friendly face that greeted me, belonged to Jesse Govea, and when I started sharing my situation with him, he was so understanding, even as he was so surprised to see the insole I showed him, because he said they looked and felt like the "starters", that were not meant to last for more than 6 months! But then he asked me how much I paid for them, and when I told him, $1300, and that I was told they were replaceable for life, he started making some phone calls, to his Manager & up the chain, then to the SB store, just trying to determine the best way for him to proceed. He really went over and beyond for me, and when all was said and done, he came out with Step 2 from the current system, which is much sturdier than what I had. He told me he would trade my old ones in for these, and will do the same when I find and locate the box that holds step 1 & 3, and bring them in. He was just so helpful, and made this whole situation so much more pleasant!
