I had a very disappointing experience with Children’s Dental Zone. They were unable to keep our scheduled appointment and changed the time without notifying us in advance.Good communication is essential, especially when it comes to children’s appointments, and unfortunately, that was lacking here.
Due to this experience and the poor customer service, I will not be bringing my child back.

My two boys had to have dental work done and children’s dental FunZone made the process as painless as possible. One of my boys couldn’t wait to go back to his second appointment. My other son was very anxious about the whole process going into it, (he had to have 4 extractions) and after his first appointment he told me he was very relieved and the process wasn’t as bad as he’d expected at all. I would recommend children’s dental funzone to any parent and child needing to get work done.

I gave them 5 stars because we came from a dentist that was horrible and it scared my daughter to the point she didn't want the old dentist to even brush her teeth smh. So when we came to Dental Funzone I saw my daughter get comfortable with going to the dentist again and it restored her happiness of going to get treated. The way the staff and dentist interact with my child put a smile on my heart and I appreciate the love and compassion they show to their patients. I only wish I would have came here 1st and not that horrible dentist we went to on arrow hwy in upland 😳

Both my daughters went for a cleaning yesterday, tell me why they sat down at the same time and one daughter was done writhing a minute and the other was there for awhile, I was like you’re done already? She said yea I asked what did you do I only seen you rub fluoride on her teeth and brush for a few seconds, she said she cleaned them it’s just different cuz she has braces and my other daughter doesn’t, that didn’t make sense to me as she has had cleaning with braces before and they did way more, I asked her did you floss? Scrap plaque off or anything else she said yes , my daughter said she didn’t , once I told my daughter, it’s OK I’ll just tell the doctor a few seconds after that I think she heard me because she asked me if there was a problem and if I wanted her to do anything else so I told her yes my daughter said he didn’t even floss her teeth and she said I thought I did, but I can do it again So I said OK. She started flossing her teeth and another lady came by and told her she had to use a different one for braces, which tells me she probably doesn’t even know what she’s doing, It didn’t even look like she was flossing correctly, even when my daughter said that she was Even flossing the wires which taught me she was just pretending to floss, Anyway, after that we waiting for the doctor and I told him that I didn’t think her teeth were cleaned correctly. He took a look at her mouth and right away near there is nothing done so we had to wait some more and somebody else came to clean her teeth properly and this is only one bad experience out of money. I think this was the last straw for me though, because I feel like after this, I’m going to switch to a different location.

GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE GETTING TREATMENT! I got two other professional opinions that contradicted their excessive and unnecessary treatment recommendations. I’m so disappointed because my daughter had work done in the past and now I question whether or not it was necessary. It saddens me to think about how much pain she was in during her treatment there. ðŸ˜
Plus, they DO NOT provide records unless you pay $45, which is unreasonable, especially when I requested them immediately following the visit. All other dentists gave me records without a problem.
Please look elsewhere. They see the kids very quickly and have them lined up in a row, as the dentist quickly checks them like an assembly line. Zero privacy!
Frequently Asked Questions About Children's Dental FunZone - Ontario
When should my child first visit the dentist?
We usually recommend scheduling your child's first pediatric dental visit as soon as their baby teeth begin to appear. This allows us to prevent any cavities from forming and talk with you about how to care for your child's teeth.
How often should my child visit the dentist?
We recommend that most children visit the dentist every six months. We may recommend coming in every three months if we discover your child is more prone to cavities.
When and how should I start cleaning my child's teeth?
You should start brushing your child's teeth as soon as they start to appear. Use a toothbrush and toothpaste your child likes and turn toothbrushing into a fun game! You can both take turns role-playing as a dentist, brushing the front, back, sides, and top of the teeth in a circular motion.
Why are baby teeth important?
The baby teeth serve as spacers for the adult teeth. Children who have severe damage to their baby teeth are more likely to damage their permanent teeth as well. Early loss of baby teeth may cause loss of space for permanent teeth, causing orthodontic problems later on.
What kind of toothbrush should kids use?
At Children's Dental FunZone, we recommend you get a soft-bristle brush with a small head for cleaning your infant's teeth. As your child grows, switch to a toothbrush with a slightly larger head.
When should children start flossing?
If there is little or no space between your child's teeth, this is usually a sign that you should be helping them floss. Flossing is less necessary if there is a lot of space between a child's teeth.
Are X-rays safe for children?
Yes! Today's X-ray technology uses only 25% of the radiation when compared to earlier generations. Therefore, dental X-rays are considered incredibly safe for your child. If you ever have any questions about your child's safety during their checkup, don't hesitate to ask.
What is the difference between a pediatric dentist and a family dentist?
Family dentists can provide excellent general care for patients of all ages, but our pediatric dentists specialize in assessing the needs of infants and children. We monitor kids to ensure healthy oral formation while also keeping them comfortable, safe, and at ease during their visit.
How much does orthodontic treatment cost?
The cost of orthodontic care can vary greatly, depending on the patient's needs. We can provide a personalized estimate during your child's appointment. Additionally, we can talk to you about financing and insurance assistance as needed.
Does insurance cover orthodontic treatment?
Some insurance policies will cover orthodontic care, at least partly, and some will not. It depends on your specific insurance, but we are always happy to talk with you about the best ways to maximize your reimbursement.
