A SURGEON WITH POOR JUDGMENT Ten months ago, my 72-year old husband with diagnosed vascular disease underwent an angiogram with Dr. David Nabi after being referred to him. The hopes were that the procedure would improve circulation so that the his toe amputation wound could heal. My husband had previously undergone similar procedures in a hospital setting due to being high-risk, with extended monitoring afterward, with other surgeons. Despite having full access to his medical records and knowing his condition, Dr. Nabi performed this procedure at an outpatient surgery center in Newport Beach. He was discharged about 2 hours later and told he was stable. About 25 minutes after leaving the center, he collapsed at home from severe internal bleeding related to the procedure. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where his leg was amputated above the knee. After four weeks in the hospital and three weeks in rehab, he passed away six days after returning home. While my husband had other health issues, this devastating sequence began immediately after this procedure. In my opinion, performing such a procedure in an outpatient setting with minimal monitoring for a high-risk patient raises serious concerns about Dr. Nabi’s judgment as it pertains to patient care. I am sharing this so families ask detailed questions about where their loved one’s procedure is performed, particularly if that patient is high risk.

My wonderful daughter who is a nurse has been asking me to do a PAD screening every time I see her. I have risk factors so I finally went in to see Dr. Nabi and I am so lucky I did. I was able to take my health under control before I suffered serious problems like a stroke! Dr. Nabi was so amazing and he makes me feel like I am truly being cared for medically. I need to be around as long as I can for my kids and my grandbabies and having an excellent MD like Dr. Nabi makes me feel like I am winning at life! Thanks again and I am super grateful for all that you do !

First and last time to visit this doctor if he can be call a doctor. Totally rude! I am very dissapointed and shock with his behavior. Very unprofessional. This practice is a joke, starting with the front desk who wasnt friendly, too serious and rigid. Not good customer service specially helping the elderly who was an old man that couldn't hear well. Since I walk in I wasnt feel wellcome. Maybe the front desk is stress with the type of boss she have. I can't blame her. I feel sorry for her to work for this rude doctor. He might be good with his specialty but it looks like he never learn manners. I am not sure why he have good reviews, must be from his friends. If I could give him cero stars it will be well deserve. 👎👎👎

Excellent bedside manner. Everyone in the office has a great attitude. All of his associates that I dealt with were professional and helped ease any fears I had. Dr. Nabi was easy to talk to. He was knowledgeable and explained things very well for a layman to understand. Excellent experience.
