  I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Target Optical in Manhattan Beach today, all thanks to Cynthia. She went completely above and beyond to provide the kind of outstanding customer service that is incredibly rare to find these days. I came in looking for a solution for my 1st Generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses that needed a replacement. Instead of giving me a standard, rigid response, Cynthia was incredibly resourceful and empathetic. She went out of her way to allow me to retroactively purchase and add a warranty plan, which completely covered the cost of the replacement. It saved me a massive headache and quite a bit of money. As if that wasn't enough, she then took the time to help me browse and pick out an additional pair of everyday eyeglasses. She has an excellent eye for style—I ended up with a pair that I absolutely love and can't wait to wear. Cynthia is knowledgeable, patient, solutions-oriented, and a total asset to this team. If you need any help with your eyewear, do yourself a favor and ask for her. Thank you so much, Cynthia!

  I ordered prescription Ray Ban Meta Wayfarer glasses from Target Optical on April 22, 2026. During my appointment, I repeatedly emphasized that I needed the Large size. On April 28, I received the wrong glasses in the SMALL size. This was especially frustrating because I had ordered them more than a month before an upcoming trip specifically to ensure they would arrive in time. After Target Optical acknowledged their mistake and reordered the correct pair, weeks went by with no progress. When I contacted the Manhattan Beach location for updates, I was repeatedly told the order was still "in process." Staff said the only thing they could do was leave messages for the lab and wait for a response. Several employees even mentioned that this particular lab frequently causes problems. I asked whether the order could be canceled and sent to a different lab since there appeared to be no movement on the reorder. I was told that was not possible because the order was already in process. In other words, once the order disappeared into the lab system, neither the store nor the customer had any options. What made this experience so disappointing was the lack of accountability and urgency after the original mistake. No meaningful updates were provided, no alternatives were offered, and no one seemed empowered to resolve the issue. I was simply expected to wait indefinitely for a problem that Target Optical created. I finally received a text message on May 29, 2026, stating that my glasses were ready. That was more than five weeks after my original order and over a month after the store realized they had ordered the wrong size. By then, I was already on the vacation I had purchased these glasses for. I understand that delays can happen, but waiting over five weeks for a relatively simple prescription after receiving the wrong product is unacceptable. The issue was not just the initial error. It was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and customer service afterward.
