- MKMinjae KimJun 20, 20261.0I was getting my eye exam done and was in the middle of the pretesting portion of the appointment when Joanna, who apparently is the new manager of the store, stuck her head into the room while she was cleaning nearby. With no context whatsoever, she looked at me and loudly said, “Sir, can you help me reach that top part of the wall?” When I didn’t respond, she immediately followed it up with, “I’m just kidding, I’m so tired I need a good laugh.” I found the interaction bizarre and unprofessional. I was a patient in the middle of a medical appointment, not someone she knew personally or someone she should have been joking with. The comment interrupted the appointment and created an awkward situation for no reason. I’ve been coming to this location for years and have never experienced anything like this from any employee or manager. If that person is the new manager, it’s disappointing to see that level of professionalism from someone in a leadership position. Patients should be able to complete their exams without being interrupted and made part of someone’s attempt at a joke
