My son has autism and has been receiving dental care here for over a year now. Everyone is very nice and the office is very clean. I highly recommend this office especially with special needs children as they are very patient and accommodating

Passive aggressive dentist.
Dr. Kang displayed passive aggressive behavior toward my 6 year old son. He grew so incredibly frustrated at having to repeat himself a 3rd time because my son was having a hard time understanding if he was holding a mirror or another tool in his hand. There was no mistaking that interaction... 100% passive aggressive. Nearby staff even turned around to look.
He didn't stop and think that maybe it's not a listening issue. My son is six and autistic. He was scared. Spare us the reprimands of "not listening" and try showing a little grace.
No one should work with children in any capacity if they get so easily upset.
This place pushes for a RIDICULOUS amount of volume each day so it feels like you're on a conveyor belt as you move throughout the office. It's chaotic to say the least.
I will say every experience that I've had with the ladies who clean teeth prior to the dentist (hygienists/assistants? Not sure of the title) are so incredibly kind. Jasmine took care of my son and was patient, sweet, and explained everything to him. No joke, this woman is a literal angel. They are all amazing.
Dr Kang could learn a lot about bedside manner from the staff.
Also, expect to be BOMBARDED by calls confirming appointments you already confirmed or notifying you that you're due for an appointment even after you ask them to stop calling.
There are much better places out there.
AVOID PLEASE!

Frequently Asked Questions About Children's Dental FunZone - Eagle Rock
When should my child first visit the dentist?
We usually recommend scheduling your child's first pediatric dental visit as soon as their baby teeth begin to appear. This allows us to prevent any cavities from forming and talk with you about how to care for your child's teeth.
How often should my child visit the dentist?
We recommend that most children visit the dentist every six months. We may recommend coming in every three months if we discover your child is more prone to cavities.
When and how should I start cleaning my child's teeth?
You should start brushing your child's teeth as soon as they start to appear. Use a toothbrush and toothpaste your child likes and turn toothbrushing into a fun game! You can both take turns role-playing as a dentist, brushing the front, back, sides, and top of the teeth in a circular motion.
Why are baby teeth important?
The baby teeth serve as spacers for the adult teeth. Children who have severe damage to their baby teeth are more likely to damage their permanent teeth as well. Early loss of baby teeth may cause loss of space for permanent teeth, causing orthodontic problems later on.
What kind of toothbrush should kids use?
At Children's Dental FunZone, we recommend you get a soft-bristle brush with a small head for cleaning your infant's teeth. As your child grows, switch to a toothbrush with a slightly larger head.
When should children start flossing?
If there is little or no space between your child's teeth, this is usually a sign that you should be helping them floss. Flossing is less necessary if there is a lot of space between a child's teeth.
Are X-rays safe for children?
Yes! Today's X-ray technology uses only 25% of the radiation when compared to earlier generations. Therefore, dental X-rays are considered incredibly safe for your child. If you ever have any questions about your child's safety during their checkup, don't hesitate to ask.
What is the difference between a pediatric dentist and a family dentist?
Family dentists can provide excellent general care for patients of all ages, but our pediatric dentists specialize in assessing the needs of infants and children. We monitor kids to ensure healthy oral formation while also keeping them comfortable, safe, and at ease during their visit.
How much does orthodontic treatment cost?
The cost of orthodontic care can vary greatly, depending on the patient's needs. We can provide a personalized estimate during your child's appointment. Additionally, we can talk to you about financing and insurance assistance as needed.
Does insurance cover orthodontic treatment?
Some insurance policies will cover orthodontic care, at least partly, and some will not. It depends on your specific insurance, but we are always happy to talk with you about the best ways to maximize your reimbursement.
