I truly had a five star experience today at Audio Nova in Livermore! I went in because my hearing aid charger didn't seem to be working. I met with Rene who not only checked my charger, but thoroughly checked and cleaned my hearing aids, and gave me a complete hearing exam. In addition, she worked with me to adjust the clarity and volume of the hearing aids, and updated the wiring to get it just right . Rene was very helpful and knowledgable and provided a comprehensive explanation of my test results. I highly recommend Audio Nova and Rene!

Teri, the office manager is extremely nice, helpful, very courteous and professional. Jeanine the audiologist is also great, nice and professional. Five stars are not enough to grade Teri and Jeanine.

Holly, the patient coordinator was friendly and helpful. She resolved my problem in a safe and very efficient manner. I would definitely recommend Connect Hearing and I will use their services when needed.
Thank you!
You should use hearing protection whenever you expect exposure to high noise levels (concerts, motorsports, construction, etc.). Persistent ringing or temporary hearing loss after noise exposure is a sign the environment was too loud and you should seek a hearing evaluation.
Should I get my hearing tested?
Yes — if you suspect hearing loss for yourself or a loved one, schedule a hearing test sooner rather than later. Hearing loss often develops gradually and early evaluation helps preserve hearing and guide treatment.
How often should I see the audiologist when wearing hearing aids?
Audiologists generally recommend a hearing test at least once a year. Cleanings and tune-ups are recommended periodically (many manufacturers suggest professional cleaning every 4–6 months) and more frequent visits are advised if you notice changes or device issues.
Does Medicaid or Medicare cover hearing aids?
Coverage varies. Medicare typically excludes hearing aids but may cover diagnostic tests. Medicaid covers hearing aids in many states but benefits differ by state. AudioNova can help check benefits and explain coverage for your plan.
Will my insurance plan cover the cost of hearing aids?
Insurance coverage varies by plan. Some plans cover all or part of the cost. AudioNova offers a free benefits check and can contact your insurer to verify what is covered and any out-of-pocket costs.
What does it mean when it says that 100% of hearing aids are covered?
This usually means a plan has a maximum allowance and the percentage is applied to that maximum. AudioNova will verify your plan details so you understand what portion is covered and what you may owe.
Will I need my primary care physician to refer me?
It depends on your insurance. Many commercial PPO plans do not require referrals, but some policies (including certain Medicare-related plans) may. AudioNova staff will guide you on referral requirements based on your plan.
